Yknow Vanessa being a cop is definitely not a throw away thing, obviously when first watching the movie probably don’t make much of it, UNTIL the reveal who her father is, being William Afton.

He’s also not in prison, was never caught, and seemingly could easily get away, changing his name and everything, Vanessa even changed her name from Afton to “Shelly” so I can’t help but wonder how they did it.

This conclusion happened to me awhile ago, but with the suggestion Vanessa was there for the missing kids incident, how she knows where he hid the children’s bodies, or how she knew about the bodies in the basement in the place/ how she was instructed to kill Mike if he got too close. No doubt in my mind, the only reason she became a cop was to cover up for her father

As a cop she can use her authority over others, has an excuse to snoop around, can delete any files on him every existing, can make alibis for him, etc. Any shady business at Freddy’s quietly shoved under the rug. I THINK this explanation makes a lot of sense, and is super on brand for someone like William. Course he’d use his own children to get him off the hook, poor Vanessa once again. Sorry your dad is like that 💀 This was super fun to draw out, especially the lil yellow rabbits, anyway!! I hope you enjoy this comic 🙏🏾
