Folks have asked me pretty consistently anytime I drew Henry that I have to draw him with Michael!

Just him and Michael interacting, which was an idea that was always slotted in for me to do. So that’s where this comic idea comes from, Michael introducing Mike to Henry

And accidentally calling him his dad, then backing up on it as much as he can,,,

I always liked the concept that Michael sees Henry more like his “dad” than his own father, or at least wishes Henry was his father instead. The impression I always got was Henry just of been close enough to the Aftons to be considered semi family, again like an uncle to the Afton kids. So Michael growing attached to Henry instead just checks out, even though there’s something about sad about that thought

Seeing Henry himself feels like a failure of a father, and Michael feels like a failure of a son. It matches well together, trauma bonding and all PFF To Mike though this is like the second time Michael has slipped up like this, just knows dude has issues though not like Mike is doing any better on the daddy issues front

This was a lot of fun to draw out! Michael, idk why, especially came out looking nice in this one,,, also older Henry was fun, love the reflective glasses look,, even Mike in the second panel is really cute. So bangers all around on this comic, I also love to draw more of Michael and Henry, especially during pizza sim shenanigans, I think that could be a lot of fun 🩵💜
