Extended family (mini comic #288)

AUNT JANE FINALLY MENTIONED 🔥🔥 Tbh idk why it’s taken me this long to draw her, but at least we got there! I still have a handful of that movie characters I gotta draw, hopefully I’ll get around to all of them eventually,, mark my words. Anyhow! This comic is a little joke/look into the relationships both Mike and Michael have with extended family, and how they differ.

Michael and Henry’s deal is very interesting, we don’t outright get to know what relationship they had, besides fnaf pizzeria simulator. I always got the impression Henry was close enough to the Afton’s, that he was pretty much considered family. Michael views him like an uncle, maybe one far kinder than his own father. I think their relationship in adulthood is definitely more complicated, just due to everything that has happened. Henry and Michael are the two trying to stop William, who eventually come together in the end to do just that. Their whole deal is probably a lot more angsty, I can imagine Henry did fail not only Charlie but Michael and his siblings too.

THEN ON THE OTHER HAND, Mike and Aunt Jane… AND WELL SHES just the worst, like there isn’t any real deep levels to this, she’s just unapologetically a bad person, and I think that’s great. Obviously Mike doesn’t have the most positive idea of her, which I can’t blame him, she did try to hank off Abby and sent in folks to vandalize his work to get him in trouble and fired. She actively is trying to sue him too, SO NOT AS deep of a relationship, aunt Jane is almost comedically a bad person, but again I think that’s great. We always need some awful women in media, it’s good. THE CONTRAST between Michael and Henry’s relationships and Mike and Jane’s is like night and day it’s so funny 😭 I HAD a lot of fun drawing this out!! Of course getting to draw Jane finally is a win, also this comic more like planted ideas in my head for later,, I gotta cook 🔥🔥🔥
