I just want to quietly draw manga Chapter 340(2in1)
Added 2025-11-03 16:43:41 +0000 UTCEvery week, Yuuya found himself counting down to Monday. Ever since the show switched to weekly episodes, each one ended on a cliffhanger. There were only three episodes left after today, and he had seen the online memes and conspiracies that Code Geass would end on a massive cliffhanger. At first, he thought they were exaggerating, but now, seeing how each episode was going, he had started to believe it.
Episode 22 was airing today, and Yuuya had been waiting for it all week, though, honestly, he said that after every new episode.
He arrived home, ate dinner quickly, and loaded the new episode. He’d tried watching while eating twice before, but both times his food went cold and had to be reheated. Since then, he always ate before or after watching.
As he loaded the episode, his head was full of questions about how Lelouch would deal with the Special Administrative Zone of Nippon. He’d read many theories about it, but none of them seemed convincing. Then he pressed play.
The opening scene showed people lining up to join the Special Administrative Zone of Nippon. Euphy and Suzaku were watching.
“Thanks to you, Suzaku,” Euphy said with a soft smile.
“Huh?” Suzaku looked confused.
“Because of what you represent to the Japanese people. They believe in us.”
Seeing this, Yuuya muttered, “The way they’re going, Suzaku is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Like, without doing anything himself, he gets his goal achieved. Talk about child of destiny.”
As Suzaku told her it was because of her and not him, and Euphy asked him to help, Yuuya said, “I don’t think this will last long.”
The second opening played. It didn’t hit the same way the first one did, but the new ending was making up for it. As the episode started, the title was omitted.
Yuuya said, “Oh, is something big about to happen?”
Nina appeared next, muttering to herself about Euphy’s plan.
Yuuya frowned. “Why is this bitch at the start of the episode? She hasn’t done much aside from the table scene, but I just hate her.”
The focus shifted to the Black Knights discussing the new zone. Todo mentioned that even some of their people had applied.
Diethard pointed out it was safer than joining Zero’s rebellion.
Rakshata joked about how the princess had more charm than a masked man.
Only Kallen looked visibly frustrated.
“Finally, someone with sense,” Yuuya muttered. “At least she gets what’s going on.”
When Ohgi seemed to agree with the plan, Yuuya leaned forward. “You’ve gotta be kidding me. Hypocrite. You asked Lelouch to reveal his secret, what about you? Just because you met some woman for a week, you’re ready to end the whole resistance? And you’re second in command. This type of leader wins people’s hearts because of how stupid they are. I swear, in real life, they wouldn’t achieve anything. But because they’re good-hearted in fiction, they become leaders and everyone praises them for doing an incomplete job.”
As Lelouch and Rivalz rode together, Rivalz dropped him off to meet Shirley on his scooter when they heard commotion.
“I don’t care about your ‘Special Zone!’ I don’t care about ‘support!’ I’d sooner die than sign that!”
“Hold it, schoolboy. Just back off.” As Lelouch went closer, the nobleman’s guard stopped him.
“I think you should go home right now.” Lelouch Geassed him.
As he left, the nobleman followed. “Huh?! What did you say to him?! Come back here at once!”
Lelouch said, “What’s wrong, you, Sir Nobleman? Confusing borrowed power with your own ability is a big mistake, you know. Garbage like you should simply die and be thrown out where no o—” Just as he was about to say, Rivalz came between them. And all of this, Shirley was watching from above.
The scene shifted to Britannia, where they believed Zero’s defeat was assured as they prepared for the Special Administrative Zone.
The next day, the whole world was watching the event.
The administration zone was full of people, and even outside, crowds were standing.
The arena was packed, cameras everywhere. Euphy sat up, glancing beside her at the empty chair as Zero arrived in his Knightmare frame. He landed near her seat and asked to speak with her alone.
As they entered the command HQ vehicle, the Black Knights waited for orders from Zero inside their Knightmares.
Lelouch took out a gun. “This is a needle gun made from ceramic and bamboo. It can’t be picked up on a metal detector.”
Euphy replied calmly, “Lelouch… you would never shoot me, would you?”
Lelouch said, “No, I would never do that, you’ll be doing the shooting, Euphy.”
Seeing this, Yuuya said, “I had thought of this possibility, but since Code Geass has blown my mind so many times, I thought it wouldn’t be that obvious. Guess I’m a genius after all.”
Outside of the HQ, Suzaku felt the presence of C.C. As she got outside of her Knightmare frame, the symbol on her head started to glow as she said, “No… he’s reached that point…?”
Inside, Euphy tried to convince Lelouch to join her in the Special Administrative Zone.
Lelouch’s voice cracked as he covered one of his eyes. “Stop it! Stop giving me your pity! Spare me your charity! This is something I have to achieve on my own. And so for that, I shall now stain your hands with blood, Euphemia li Britannia!”
Euphy looked confused. “That’s not my name anymore. I gave it up.”
Lelouch froze. “Why?”
“Well, of course,” she said quietly. “I have to pay the price for doing something so selfish. Those are the consequences.”
“That wasn’t hard to give up, was it? You did it for me,” Lelouch said.
Euphy shook her head. “As conceited as you ever were. No, I did it for Nunnally. She told me herself, all she wanted was to be with her brother.”
“For that petty reason?” Lelouch asked, half-smiling.
“That’s right. I’m not giving up anything that really matters to me,” she said softly. “And don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone about you.”
Lelouch let out a strained laugh. “Euphy, you’re a fool… an amazing fool. In your usual rash way, you’ve managed to win everything. When I think of you, I don’t see a princess or sub-viceroy. I just see the plain little Euphy you used to be.”
Euphy smiled faintly. “Then will you join that plain little Euphy and help her?”
Lelouch sighed. “You are the worst opponent I’ve ever faced. You win.”
Yuuya leaned forward, eyes glued to the screen. “Will Lelouch use this position to try to get closer and gain advantage? There will be people who won’t like this, so maybe they’ll create trouble and start gathering the masses. Oh, I get it, he’ll use this situation to gain more followers. Since the Black Knights are always going against Britannia, people are scared of them. Now he’ll gain support through this. I knew it, Lelouch wouldn’t simply accept that. He knows this situation won’t work long term.”
Euphy said, “You don’t have much faith in me, do you? Did you really think I’d shoot you just because you threatened me?”
Lelouch smiled faintly. “You got it wrong. When I want people to obey me, they do, no matter what I tell them.”
“Now you’re being silly,” Euphy said.
Lelouch looked over at her. “I’m serious. For example, if I told you to kill all the Japanese, it wouldn’t matter how you felt about it.”
And just like that, his Geass activated.
Yuuya sat up straight. “Oh, shit.”
Euphy froze, her eyes wide. She tried to fight it at first but then her expression changed, her tone flattening. She grabbed Lelouch’s gun and ran out.
Lelouch shouted after her, chasing, but she was too fast.
Yuuya groaned. “Seriously, man, how’s she outrunning you? She’s in heels!”
Then came the chaos. Euphy’s voice echoed through the stadium. “Those of you who call yourselves Japanese, I have a favor to ask. Could you all die, please?”
Andreas tried to stop her but she shot him in the leg. Then the soldiers opened fire, and panic exploded. Suzaku woke up in the middle of the chaos, confused, shouting her name. Euphy had already gotten into a Knightmare, and the entire area turned into a battlefield.
Lelouch ran toward his Knightmare, guilt and panic all over his face. A woman stumbled toward him, begging, “Zero… please help us. You’re Japan’s savior…”
He froze, realizing what had just happened because of his Geass, then navigated through the dead bodies to reach his Knightmare. After entering it, C.C.’s voice came through. “The Britannian forces are moving out of the stadium!”
Lelouch took a deep breath. “Then we exploit this to the fullest. It’s the least we can do.”
Lelouch gave his order. “Euphemia has become our enemy. This was a cowardly trap meant to lure us in. Wipe out all Britannian forces and save the Japanese!”
Tears welled in his eyes as he muttered, “I have to find Euphy… and kill her.”
The Black Knights arrived and started battling with Britannia.
When Kallen and Lelouch’s Knightmare arrived where Euphy was shooting with a gun, Lelouch stepped out of his Knightmare and walked toward her.
Euphy looked up, smiling faintly. “Oh, I thought you were Japanese.”
She sounded calm, just like before when she had invited him to help the people. “I was thinking, we could run the Special Zone together.”
Lelouch then raised his gun. “Yes. I would’ve liked that. You and I… together.”
He fired.
Euphy fell, whispering weakly, “Lelouch… why?”
He stood over her, his voice low. “Farewell, Euphy. You may have been the first girl I ever loved.”
As the ending song started to play, Suzaku was searching for Euphy from above on his Knightmare and seeing Zero shoot her, he yelled as he dove down, seeing Zero standing over Euphy’s body.
Yuuya just sat there, completely quiet for a moment. The last five minutes had left his mind blank. “What the hell… I thought he’d just frame her or something. Not this.”
He leaned back, still staring at the black screen after the ending. “Man… I can’t even process that. Euphy ordering that… it doesn’t feel real.”
Online, people were far more vocal about what they had just seen.
“I started watching Code Geass because everyone kept saying it was good and that many famous directors had joined it, but after seeing this episode, I didn’t like it one bit. I think I’ll drop Code Geass.”
“My poor Euphy… in the whole show, you were the only one who was good. I knew in this type of show good characters die, but not like this… not like this.”
“I didn’t like Lelouch. Everyone kept praising him, but after this, I just can’t anymore.”
“But what could he have done in his position? I think he did the best he could, and this is hurting him too.”
“I don’t care. He made an innocent person kill another innocent person.”
“Hey, maybe she’ll survive. We don’t know if she actually died, maybe Suzaku saves her.”
“I started to believe that too, but I heard the writer’s nickname is ‘Heroine Killer,’ so I doubt it’ll happen.”
“No, don’t tell me that. I want to believe Euphy will survive. I don’t want to believe otherwise.”
“The show turned dark really fast. We were just enjoying some lighthearted moments, thinking good things were finally happening, and then this episode happened.”
Muzishiro’s fans also started commenting under those posts.
“I knew it, Muzishiro and tragedy are inseparable. There hasn’t been a single manga or anime where something good lasts. Everything he touches turns into tragedy.”
“But this time, he’s really outdone himself. The whole world is watching his work. I think Muzishiro is about to become infamous.”
“Jokes aside, why Euphy? You could’ve killed any other character except Lelouch and I wouldn’t have minded it.”
“Yeah, take Nina or Suzaku instead.”
“The episode started with Nina. I try to skip every scene she’s in, nothing good ever happens when she shows up.”
As one of the newer fans reached the Muzishiro fan threads, they wrote:
“I’m not a Muzishiro fan, but I’ve heard his name whenever people start cursing. For the past four months, after that infamous dog scene, he’d been quiet. But today I saw the clip, man, I don’t know how he keeps outdoing himself. That’s why, no matter how peak his writing gets, I don’t want to experience it. Just seeing a short clip of his work is enough, and I’ll remember that scene for my whole life.”
“Now, now, you need to experience the thrill to live. Why live a boring life? Try one of Muzishiro’s works and become one of us, the extreme cliffhanger enjoyers.”
“Nope, I value my sanity. You guys are addicted to this drug called Muzishiro. Seeing how numb you’ve become to these scenes compared to newer fans tells me everything I need to know.”
“Hey, we just want to see the peak. There’s nothing wrong with that. It helps us become tougher so we can overcome challenges.”
“What kind of challenges are you facing that you need to watch this kind of suffering? You’re all just masochists.”
