Gift of Hedone: Poll - Difficulty Options?

Hello you wonderful Deviants,

I wanted to do a poll about Difficulty Options, and settings, and also get your feedback and possible suggestions.

If I were to implement difficulty options, currently the core setting I'm considering is based on damage received and damage dealt per the below:

What would be some other possible options you could think of?

However, on the flipside, I do enjoy it when a game rewards you for choosing a higher difficulty, with rewards such as more loot, or resources etc.

What would be some other incentives you would maybe like to see for higher difficulties? (There would be no penalties for choosing easy or normal.

And finally ,the poll - what would be your proffered implementation of difficulty?

Somthing that’s pretty popular is new game + more or less you keep certain stats that you gain from playing the game, but you reset the whole game to be more difficult and you play with your old progress against the new difficulty

Difficulty settings are always good to do for accessibility, i didn't understand if you want to apply it only to the class type, in that case the fight against enemy of the same class would be the same? Also more loot at higher difficulties is a must but don't gate keep item at higher difficulties, it would create a feel bad for people that can't play at that difficulty

I think its for the best for people to choose their own difficulty likeing, but it would also be cool if you could get some like sceenes or items that are only on harder difficulties

I'm also a fan of making gameplay harder as opossum to damage adjustment. Quicker enemy attacks and shorter telegraph times. Rewards skill while increasing difficulty. Damage adjustment like that end up being that harder = more grindy

I personally would recommend to start the game on the "hard" difficulty and give the players the option to change it when they are stuck.
