Gift of Hedone: Enemy Move Sets
Added 2024-10-23 22:00:03 +0000 UTCHello you sexy Deviants,
I just wanted to gauge your thoughts on enemy move sets. (This is excluding Boss or unique fights)
The way I mapped the Enemy's is here with the top of each element being the most basic, and as they go down, the meaner and more dangerous they are.
I was thinking as of now, Move sets it would go as follows:
Common Enemy - 1 Basic attack
Uncommon Enemy - 1 Basic attack 1 Ability
Rare Enemy - 1 basic attack 1 stronger ability
Epic Enemy - 1 basic attack 2 strong abilities
What do you think of this?
I want there to still be recognisable patterns, and when you are more often than not going to be dealing with more than 1 enemy at a time, I don't want the screen to be filled with 8,000 different abilities all going at once haha.
But I am completely open to suggestions or games you think have done enemy move sets well!

Thank you so much for the reply, I really appreciate the feedback, And can definitely take into consideration, unfortunately due to scope it may be difficult to accommodate that. But I really appreciate the feedback :)

It’s a H game, yes, but it makes it seem like no matter what enemy you encounter it’s the same pattern. Maybe do something more like Common Enemy - 2 Basic attack and 1 ability Uncommon Enemy - 2 Basic attack 2 Ability/ 3 basics and 2 abilities Rare Enemy - 4 basic attack 1 Ability stronger ability Epic Enemy - 5 rotating basic attack with 3+ more abilities. Make the player make more of an effort to invest in the game to get cool loot for each as well.
