Watchtower - WIP 4
Added 2025-05-25 13:43:48 +0000 UTCIt’s been a little bit since I’ve shown much progress on this because work deadlines , a head cold, sinus infection and layoffs (not me) all decided to happen at once.
Nevertheless, the left side of the illustration shows a major update: two ropes used as clotheslines with various credentials out to dry. I have to think those are used half the time to entrap air pirates - loose lips sink airships!
I spent time looking up the best 1930s lingerie I could find. Boy was stuff blousy. These were the most modern.
I’m calling it good with solid fills and will now move on to text and print media throughout the scene: a Sears catalogue, wanted poster, various carvings, maybe an errant dart, map, drum labels, wax pencil graffiti. All helps lay on the story.
After that I’ll get the business of the airplanes done, then foliage.
