Twisted Fate Chapter 26: Goblins

An advance notice: A Twisted Fate will be going on hiatus at the start of August. The final release will be chapter 35, the last regular chapter of volume 1.

For the past couple of months, I’ve been posting three chapters of new content a week, but due to other commitments, I’ve been writing somewhat less. That’s usually fine—maintaining consistency is one of the reasons I keep a big backlog, and this isn’t the first time a lack of writing time has caused me to eat into it. The difference this time around is that it seems likely that I will remain low on writing time for the foreseeable future*, and having already burnt through half of my backlog, I don’t have enough left to last much longer.

Since I ‘guarantee’ the Tuesday/Friday slots for the purposes of annual patrons, the Monday slot is the thing that’s going to need to give. Also, A Destined Journey currently has the higher readership, so it’s the logical story to spend my limited time on anyway. A Twisted Fate will resume once my writing time picks back up and my backlog has recovered.

*Although there’s one upcoming event that may result in my having all the writing time I could ever need… For years now, my employer has been gradually shifting roles to India and Mexico to save on wages. Our local department is already a fraction of what it once was, and later this year, project management itself is moving to India. Once that happens, I have no idea how much longer my team will last, but I need to be prepared for the possibility of ‘not long’. Maybe I’ll try a kickstarter to finish one of the many games I tend to start writing and never finish…
