Drawing Heads and Focal Length pt.3

Drawing Heads and Focal Length pt.3

I learned my rendering techniques from traditional oil painting. And my love for comics and linework were fused on to that. It took a while to get there. But I think the rendering is where most of my style comes through. Work on tones and form before you put the line over it. Thanks for the nice words!

Hey john, i came across your art months ago, where i didnt draw at all, now that i somehow turned my hobby into a job, i really wanna improve. I fell in love with your artstyle, its just , i cant explain,so smooth ? Anyway, i am 19 and ive been drawing since a kid on and off, as said just recently i made it into a job. I draw for memecoins…(crypto coins) And i try my best to keep it short, (sorry!!!”) I have no artstyle like none at all. And from years of looking around, i enjoy drawing with a thick outline, and i am happy i somewhat mastered to draw like comic artists, i saw your favourite artist is adam hughes, same. Soo…. How did you find this artstyle? How did you start studying art to achieve this style? (Coloring, body anatomy, lineart…) i hope i am not being pain in the ass… its been long since you posted, just since yesterday i joined your patreon and i am happy i did.

He's got a great sense of humor and Ive always been a fan of that Mucha style bold outline around characters.
