The only real comment I have is that you mentioned she had sort of classically Asian looks that this doesn't. Other than that it's wonderful I'm very close to what I was thinking too. It's always nice when an author can paint a picture of a character so well that people everywhere can recognize them. A lot like how JK Rowling's did with hagrid. I don't think anybody in the world had a different look in mind for him before you saw the movie. And this has that same quality.
