January Q&A

Hey y'all, sorry this hasn't happened in a bit. What questions do you have for me? Thoughts on the stories, where you hope it goes, plot holes, etc? I'll go through and answer any of the questions over the next couple of days.

Thanks!

Pride/showing off was my main reason in universe, since they were all new to the school and gathering they didn't have any other accomplishments to their names, yet. Now people will be able to sense their levels, if they are close, or just that they are above them, if not, so less reason to brag about talent levels/affinities specifically

I know Q&A was a while ago but am listening to the books on audible and had a question. In the 1st book they introduce them selves with there name, potential example ( 15/32), and any affinity high or above. Why do they introduce themselves like that?

Elemental Gatherers is next, then Mana Daemons

"Just" a level 8, that snake. I fear the story will have them bypass that a bit too fast. Besides, Bridget wasn't too fond of it either :D

I know Ming's Brother flirts with some of the Lion people, are inter-species couples acceptable? Do you get mixed race children? (Something that might be interesting to discuss in the next book) Also this Q&A isn't in the Q&A tab on the Patreon page only way I can find it is to clear the filters. Other things I'm wondering if they will ever get back to from earlier books 1. Do they ever get to meet the Fire Monarch? (Sia mentions taking Aiden to meet her) 2. Do they ever go and meet with the high level beast that is guarding the Monarch Tree that the other expedition says wanted to meet Aiden's team?

Mana Daemons or Elemental Gatherers next?

There are Knight, Lord, Baron, Earl, Duke, and then finally King in the Kingdom of Craesti. Knight is just a status thing. When a family is promoted to Lord, they would often be given a small tract of land that is uncontrolled. Baron's often control multiple small towns/farming groupings. An Earl would be in charge of smaller cities or a large group of towns, while a Duke is in charge of the major cities.

There is a pretty good chance we'll see the slave fairly early in Monster Island. There may be one or two more in the tournament as well.

Sia will eventually be able to evolve, though they'll have to get some rare materials to assist. There is a small but nonzero probability it'll happen after the Monster Island tournament. The Affinity Powders currently wouldn't work, but a small segment I'm thinking of will be on his work to change a few ingredients so they are usable by some Beasts.

They definitely will reach Core, but probably not for several books. We will probably find out more of what is beyond Core in Monster Island, and there should be a scene with Darkness. My plan for Aleks is to have her be just a friend, but the friend that is always teasing you about your love life. We'll see if I can pull it off

He might be able to eventually do a little bit. One thing I was thinking of adding eventually was him helping Librarian Narwan develop a Darkness/Light Affinity Powder. Unfortunately for his goals, that particular powder will be stupidly expensive, rather than fairly cheap like the others.

Hmm, I'll have to look. I thought I hadn't had him teach it yet (at one point he talked about not wanting to teach it until they've mastered the basic Spiral Gathering Technique). Thanks!

I briefly mentioned him learning it in Condensation, during the time skip before heading to Craesti City.

Will we ever meet one of the other champions sent by Dark and Light? Will they be able to rescue the one that is a slave?

One more for now, I don't remember Aiden ever learning the technique that the head master gave him. He mentions knowing it at one of the dinners with the princess and uses it in the end battle. Maybe a bit about him learning it some where would be good? Sorry for all the posts can't get shift + enter to work on my phone to make paragraphs.

Also I think he teaches his friends the gathering technique that he got from the king. I know he said he had to ask about teaching it to others but I don't remember him ever asking or getting permission. I will reread the book and see if I can find these spots and mark them. Maybe my memory is just bad.

I'm wondering if Aiden will ever be able to manipulate light and dark aether since he can see it.

I want to see Aiden and friends reaching Core and what it means for them. And knowing what's beyond. Also, his 'soul' meridian and the chance to speak to Light or Darkness directly .. And, of course, how the Princess will fit into the already tight group of girlfriends :)

I’m interested in seeing how the nobility works :)

I'm wondering about how sia can evolve and whether the powders can affect sia?

He will eventually run into at least one more dungeon. There is something like it (not the same origin) that he will run into on Monster Island, that will hopefully give some context to why they appeared. All four of them will develop a greater ability to affect their surroundings once they reach Core-level.

I'd like to know more about the dungeons that they've encountered. Do you think Aiden will run into any more dungeons in the Monster Island book, or is that something that will be a little further down the road? Also, because of the unique items and effects generated in these dungeons, can we expect Aiden to develop any unique powers in the future?
