The Chechen Wars Part IV: No Way Back

Listen to the entire series:
The Chechen Wars. Part I: Prologue
The Chechen Wars Part II: The Wolf Feast
The Chechen Wars part III: A Ticket To Hell

Grozny was captured, but the war did not end. From the ruined city, the conflict moved into the forests and foothills, the villages and ravines, the frozen passes. Argun and Bamut became places where men disappeared into smoke and came back changed.

Then came the terror. Budyonnovsk. Kizlyar. These attacks swept over Russia, breaking the will of a country trying to survive collapse. Dudaev was vaporized — but his death changed nothing. The shameful Khasavyurt agreements of 1996 ended this chapter, but not the war. War would come back.

Russians With Attitude

Off Topic...but the difference in Russian Air defence & Isreal/Iran air defence is quite shocking. Russia is miles ahead.

Anybody got some good book recommendations from the Chechen War? Read Nicolai Lilin’s books (theyre great), wanted to know if anybody has read something similar.
