That scene with Kate walking out of the house at first annoyed me because I felt like Kate was crying making it about herself a little bit and not William or Randall, but then Randall comes out to comfort her and you kind of put together that she is legit crying because she knows Randall is having to experience the same loss they went through before for a 2nd time and since she's still learning how to deal with her dad's death as an adult she knows how painful it is for him to have to deal with that fresh grief that she is starting to experience as well. It's just so well written. π And Randall was so understanding for what she was feeling because of what they have gone through before. And it just makes so much sense that she would apologize to Randall that he has to experience this a 2nd time with her saying that her dad's death is because of her. Its just heartbreaking and so sweet to see them have so much empathy for each other regarding what each other are feeling.
