Ever since I started watching 911, I've found it so interesting how different Ryder and Buck are as characters. The former is a seemingly slimy, back-stabbing idiot who thinks too much of himself, but, this episode shows that he's just a boy trying to live up to the name of a father who was never meant to be a father, at least, not in the way Ryder wanted. Then there's Buck: heroic, spontaneous, bone-headed, but always trying to do the right thing. Sure, he messes up A LOT, but he always learns something from his (many) mistakes, even if it sometimes takes longer than we'd like sometimes.
