This is why the writing pisses me off sometimes and why Lana just needs to go away. Clark refuses to confide in the supposed love of his life but shows a dangerous stranger he knows nothing about what he can do from the first day. And this is a pattern going all the way back to season 1. I also can't remember but does Clark know for certain that Lionel knows about him? If it wasn't fully established, he literally gave a Luthor all the ammunition in the world.

2025-05-31 13:26:13 +0000 UTCYeah, this episode as a whole has always been mostly a throwaway for me, but the ending is definitely what makes it. And Clark not letting himself truly grieve but ending up with the watch at the end and letting it all out, makes the rest of the episode worth it. Makes me cry every time I watch it.
