I think this one was just too dialog heavy and took too long to even see the villain. I also just think early on stargate struggled a bit to find that balance between action packed episodes and more filler-y episodes and the difference between them can feel really jarring

2025-05-28 08:40:11 +0000 UTCEh - you're not wrong, this one's a doozy and granted, back in the 22 ep days of television, not every episode could be awesome, but for this filler to be episode 2 of the season is woof. I think I might have skipped it every rewatch. There are some really great earth episodes, but I guess they're a little ways into the future, so you'll have to hang on until then :D
