August 2020 Character Poll: Ladies of Classic Sci-fi.

Okay, here we go. For those of you that don't really know me, I'm an old guy. So in the days before VCRs and the internet, we had our appointment TV. TV shows would come on and you made sure you did all your homework and finished your dinner before sitting down to watch TV.
Growing up in the 70's there were shows that really imprinted in my adolescent mind and the beautiful women on them were out of this world, literally! So this poll is dedicated to the space babes that inspired me and kicked some ass from those shows.
First up is Uhura in her Mirror MIrror costume. She had to fend off Sulu and pretend to be a bad ass in a universe of bad asses and pulled it off spectacularly.
Next is Wilma Deering from Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. She was a colonel heading up Earth's Defense Forces, until they made her a cruise director on a star ship. There could be a case made for Princess Ardala, but I think that she could be a character for a later poll.
And last but not least is Athena from the original Battlestar Galactica. Commander Adama's daughter and a bridge officer, she then joined a number of other female recruits to become a pilot and then just kinda disappeared....
So that's the line up. Thinking sexy and maybe battle damaged for the ladies who wear a bit too much as the main pinup. Will have to think of some other type of scenario for the N4 pic.
What do you think? Are you familiar with these ladies or want to know more? Then check out their shows!
Poll will end at midnight on August 4th central time.

2020-07-31 15:42:48 +0000 UTCI'm honestly surprised there's no choice for either Jenny Agutter or Farrah Fawcett from Logan's Run, but these are three great choices! I had to go with Athena!
