Open world bosses

Aye finally a way to fight boss-like entities in the open world.

These bosses won't spawn randomly around the world, but rather they're gonna be part of bigger systems such as being targets for bounty hunters, world events or higher level ambushes, they can also spawn in big bases or ships but very rarely.

For the sake of putting them in categories you can think of the marine ones as vice admirals and the pirate/bandit ones as top pirates (new world level if you want).

So how are they any different from current captains or challenge bosses ? Well, not by much when compared with challenge bosses I guess...they're gonna have unique randomized names and HP bars, more abilities, better stats and more complex AIs. Whereas challenge bosses have a set environment and they're made to make the best out of it these bosses can spawn anywhere and as such will try their best to adapt to the environment and enemy/enemies by switching between a set number of randomized phases they might spawn with.

Bounty Hunts

This was already partially implemented, bounty hunters can take wanted posters of pirates and revolutionaries and hunt them down for belly, but this requires players, both bounty hunter and pirate ones, so its its not exactly ideal for singleplayer.

So now that open world bosses exist, bounty posters of these bosses will exist as well.

The system got updates a bit to also display the last coords a target was seen at (when the bounty was registered) this works for players too but there will be a config option to disable this in case servers choose to opt out of it. For NPCs its a bit more exact and they can spawn around that point when the holder of the bounty gets near it.

The current posters cannot display the NPC target sadly, and they will require a bit of a rework to get it to work, but the goal is to have them work 1:1 as they do for players.

Man...stuff's been pretty slow with these updates lately and if ya feeling like that too, I'm actually sorry, the patches for 0.10.x been wack and they are a main priority before new content hopefully I can go back to making 2 posts per month once 0.10.x gets a stable enough release where I can forget about it and start working on new stuff without worry. This last update for 0.10.x including all the above things as well as future stuff I didn't yet finish like world events were all part of the plan to make 0.10.0 the pve update but you can hopefully kinda see how unrealistic that was. I guess slow progress is better than no progress at all in the end <3.

As a default setting ? no, as it might still fuck with OFPW, but there will be a config option for it that'll work on hopes and wishes that nothing will go massively wrong, however since fruit ability AIs will still need to be made manually and how each of em interacts with the world and other abilities don't expect all of them to be available out of the gate. The more straight forward a fruit is the faster it'll get added.

Is there any way that VCs can have undiscovered wood box fruits? And if you kill them they have a chance to reincarnate?
