Q - 3D printer vs Handmade costume?
A - I love handmade stuff but like... without the actual "making things well" 🥲

I get why people are all about 3D printers. Like, seriously, I see these cosplayers on Instagram and their props and armor are just perfect. The details are insane, and it looks clean and professional. It saves a ton of time, especially for those super intricate designs that would take a million years to hand-sculpt out of foam. Plus, you can easily download the file and print it, which is so convenient. 🛐

It's definitely a huge advantage for people who want to get into cosplay but maybe don't have the crafting skills yet. I mean, if I had a 3D printer, my life would probably be so much easier.

But then there's the handmade side. It's beautiful seeing someone's dedication and skill in a cosplay. You can tell it's not just a costume, it's a work of art ✨
And even though my stuff is, a little wonky sometimes, I'm still super proud of it because I made it with my own two hands.

Both are valid, and it's not a competition. 3D printing is an amazing tool that's making cosplay more accessible and detailed than ever. But handmade cosplays have this special, soulful quality to them. For me, since I don't have a 3D printer and my sewing skills are... a work in progress, I'm sticking with what I can do.
A little hot glue, some foam, and a lot of hope! And even if it's not perfect, it's still me, and that's what counts💕

R - Adoro le cose fatte a mano, ma tipo... senza la parte del "fare le cose bene" 🥲

Capisco perché la gente sia così presa dalle stampanti 3D. Davvero, vedo cosplayer su Instagram, i loro prop e le loro armature, sono semplicemente perfetti. I dettagli sono pazzeschi e l'aspetto è pulito e professionale. Sicuramente fa risparmiare un sacco di tempo, soprattutto per quei design super intricati che richiederebbero un milione di anni per essere scolpiti a mano in foam. Inoltre, puoi facilmente scaricare il file e stamparlo, il che è davvero comodo. 🛐

È sicuramente un enorme vantaggio per chi vuole avvicinarsi al cosplay ma magari non ha ancora le competenze necessarie. Voglio dire, se avessi una stampante 3D, la mia vita sarebbe probabilmente molto più semplice.

Ma poi c'è il lato artigianale. É bellissimo vedere la dedizione e l'abilità di qualcuno in un cosplay. Si vede che non è solo un costume ma un'opera d'arte✨
E anche se a volte i miei lavori sono un po' traballanti, ne sono comunque molto orgogliosa perché li ho realizzati con le mie mani.

Entrambi sono validi, e non è una competizione. La stampa 3D è uno strumento straordinario che sta rendendo il cosplay più accessibile e dettagliato che mai. Ma i cosplay fatti a mano hanno questa qualità speciale e profonda. Per me, dato che non ho una stampante 3D e le mie capacità di cucito sono un work in progress, mi limito a quello che so fare.

Un po' di colla a caldo, un po' di foam e tanta speranza! E anche se non è perfetto, sono sempre io, ed è questo che conta💕
