The Batinicus: Stalkers

The Batinicus are a race of sapient creatures from another world that is ruled by a pair of sister goddesses; their creators. Their goddess, Nocturna, the night, made them in her image to inhabit the lands of darkness to develop their culture around worshipping her. Nocturna's sister, Solei, the day, created the Avinians in her image, bird-like saptient creatures to inhabit the lands of light to develop their culture around worshipping her.

The two races eventually warred with one another, in a holy war that lasted for centuries in order to gain dominance of all lands of light and darkness. Nocturna was eventually captured by her sister, and imprisoned within her personal temple, and cast out all Batinicus on their world throughout time and space; inhabiting other worlds, dimensions, and realities. This has effectively put cut the Batinicus off from their own people, and were forced to form makeshift clans with loosely related individuals and strangers in order to survive while trying to find a way back home.

Batinicus have two natural forms: The Hunter, and the Stalker, and have the ability to shapeshift into any native species of a world they inhabit on if they drink copius amount of their blood, or consume their flesh.


A Batinicus Stalker takes on a much more beast like appearance, walking on all fours, than on two. They lose the ability to use magic in this form, but their physical prowess is dramatically increased, as well as gaining the ability to fly. Stalkers will sniff out for prey, or magical artifacts to drain the essence from. Stalkers are often accompanied by Hunter partners. Hunters are Batinicus that opt to use their humanoid form in order to properly use their weapons and magic abilities. They form a dangerous pair, as a Stalker and Hunter can still communicate with one another with growls, hisses, and barks. They become a formidible force if they are lead by a hunter leader in order to take down larger, dangerous prey(I.E. Dragons).

Batinicus clans are lead by one female to lead them throughout their days in the strange new worlds they inhabit, in order to survive, or thrive.
