TCV Demystifying Singing Scholarship Update

Hello lovelies!

I just met with our accounting team today to discuss setting up an official scholarship fund to allow those of you that are helping underprivelidged students gain access to Demystifying Singing with myself, Phil Freeman and Julia Nilon.

In order for us to allow for a tax writeoff for donations, we'd need to set up a separate not-for-profit entity that would receive the donations, appoint an independant board of directors who would review official applications, and file separate taxes ourselves for the new entity.

All of that is a bit much for our plate this year, but as the fund grows we will take a look at the various facets of this and possibly put in place. Maybe next year? I'll do a poll probably as this holiday season ends, or as tax season looms next year to gauge interest.

Thank you to those of you that did donate to the fund this year. Two amazing students were able to go through the course and it has changed their lives. To those of you that were in the same courses with them this year, I am so happy you helped make their dreams come true.
