Masterclass Updates for July/August

Thank you for your patience while I've been out on maternity leave. While I am back part-time now, we've needed to reduce my workload so that I can continue to care for Mycroft. I won't be teaching voice students again until September, and only working with a very small number of students then.
For Masterclasses, that means I won't be teaching an online Masterclass until the end of September. However - I have a replacement plan in mind which I hope you'll all take advantage of!
For this month (July), I'd love to request that y'all write any voice/singing question you may have and post it below. I'll answer all questions here during a midnight feeding time and continue to monitor them. I'll also start the train by adding a weird vocal fact below. :-) I'm looking forward to what you all come-up with!
For August, Julia Nilon has agreed to do a themed chat with me and y'all. We'll talk about vocal production for different styles - so subjects like resonance placement, vocal tract shape, and enunciation will be extra fun to dive into. I'll ask for questions ahead of time and we'll also take live questions. This will happen around the end of August - we'll fix that date and time as soon as possible for all!
In September, Masterclasses will resume on the 3rd or 4th Sunday of the month.

You've talked about how it can be easier for singers (yourself included) to do their lower notes in the morning vs. later in the day. I've noticed that my falsetto is actually much easier in the morning as well - more clear and with more range without even warming up. Just wondering why that might be. Less vocal tension maybe?
