Greetings! I have some updates going into the weekend

Zhu Yuan Casting

I am excited to announce @TheVoiceVixxen will be playing Zhu Yuan! She hasn't had a chance to appear in that many projects I've done, but those of you who have heard Gallica's Gassy Assault will know she's a formidable actress. Opposite her is @ShennyChwan as Nicole. It'll make for an amusing contrast with the roles reversed.

With this in mind, TheVoiceVixxen has the highest rates of anyone I work with, and her playing Zhu Yuan does put me in a sticky situation since she is going to feature in two back-to-back projects next month(ish). As such I will be spacing out the two different Zhu Yuan audios in the works, prioritizing Frieren (also played by TheVoiceVixxen) for diversity.

Exclusive Shoyu Content

Since the release of Samus Aran's Diarrhea Attack, the Shoyu (All-Access) tier has become the most popular tier. Even on the release of audios at the Instant Ramen (Early Access) tier, people are beelining for Shoyu. I can't thank you enough for your generosity. But I have to respond to that generosity in a way that is both satisfactory and practical. I would love to ensure an animatic/video project is released monthly, but the more moving parts you add to a project, the longer it takes for even incremental progress to be made. And things don't always go right, because... well generally not everyone involved proves to be reliable (though thankfully all currently announced projects are in capable hands). This means it is more practical for me to focus on quantity for the tier, especially because the more consistent backers exist on that tier, the more quality those visual projects get to be.

This was always the plan, but I am in my own head about what I release for it. I tend to think "will they even like this? It's only two minutes" when I am working on Patreon rewards or small commissions, which causes me to procrastinate on them. As adults, I'm hopeful people understand not every audio can be "peak." But the drive to ONLY make lengthy stories with a lot of sound design has a lot of power over me. But patrons often ask for smaller pieces. Commissioners don't always want the moon and the stars. And some ideas just don't warrant being longer than 2 minutes - sometimes, you just want your waifu to drop a steamy deuce without any pesky plot getting in the way. So I will be stepping up production of audios with smaller scopes and lower budgets, at a higher volume in-between major releases, and I just need to prime expectations that many of them will not be my absolute best work. Some might, through happenstance, be my best work. But generally the goal is to give you "more okay/good", not to produce "less great". Please try to keep that in mind if a release at the All-Access tier is underwhelming in your opinion.

Recommend Me Stuff to Watch/Play

I receive a nice amount of suggestions, and I've received a good deal of commission ideas. But generally speaking, the person with the best handle on what kind of content is most viable to produce is me. I'd like to be more self-sufficient in generating ideas, but I have been a workaholic for the last two years. I have played exactly one new game this year (and it's not either of the ones everyone else played), and I haven't watched an anime as it aired since JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean (which I had already caught up on). I'm at a point where my lack of anything resembling a media diet makes it hard to stay current and generate appealing ideas. If you'd be so kind, please recommend me some stuff you've enjoyed this past year (and would like me to make audios about) in the comments, and I will make time to watch it or play it.
