Pivots to the Pivots + Introducing Your Hatsune Miku

Life's a nightmare!

There is rarely just Good News here at HotRamenAudios. But as always I've been lobbed some curve balls. I appreciate the patience you all show in handling twists and turns in my schedule, but I still feel obligated to provide as much information up front about projects as I can.

With that in mind, moving forward I intend to be far more secretive about my work. I love letting you all in on my process and ensuring you know what to expect, but I would prefer to only reveal information when it's as reasonably set in stone as can be. The patience and openness to all projects of a majority of my audience is something I trust now more than when I was starting out, and once the project progress page on my website is operational, you can keep tabs of your own accord. Until then, it's frequent updates, which I hate doing.

PIVOTS TO THE PIVOTS

I had forgotten that I have family visiting and staying with me this coming weekend, which unfortunately means I will not have time to complete a full project. Even if that weren't the case however, interest in my mystery project turned out to be greater than I expected from those who read the script. Particularly, as I was shopping for thumbnail artists, all of them expressed interest in doing it as a comic. Between quickly pushing it out as filler, and executing it to the fullest, I'd rather do the latter. It's not like I can finish it before the end of the month anyway.

To make up for this month's lack of Instant Ramen exclusives, one of the All-Access audios, "Satsuki, Ryuko, & Mako's Big Burger Blowout" will be made accessible to Instant Ramen listeners.

Additionally, the three planned alts for Stall Free-For-All, which would have been All-Access exclusives, will be available to Instant Ramen listeners upon the audio's upcoming public release.

In the meantime, I am expecting two Zhu Yuan VA samples, so there's still good signs for that audio.

INTRODUCING YOUR HATSUNE MIKU

Of all the projects slated for the page, casting for Hatsune Miku has been the most difficult. Most VAs turned the role down, fearing they could not do Miku justice. Others found the material too difficult. As a passion project, I refused to compromise on quality at any level. It became apparent to me that there was only one VA who had everything I needed to play Hatsune Miku.

I am proud to announce that the role of Hatsune Miku is in the capable hands of ShennyChwan. Due to my backed up schedule, many of you haven't had the pleasure of hearing her act as much as I have. But I can assure you she is an immense talent, a great singer, and her Japanese is impeccable. Due to her schedule and life circumstances, she wasn't able to take the role on until recently. We're working out her availability as well as determining which song she should sing in the climax. She, like so many others, was intimidated, but prepared to take the risk. But I have complete faith in her and I am frankly so excited for you all to see just how talented she is for yourselves.

The unfortunate side of this lengthy delay is of course that an August 31st release, as I would have liked, was impossible. However, the additional time gives Pal time to render the comic in full color!

I hate, sometimes, how unstable it is to run this Patreon page, but in that instability is a catharsis when it all comes together in the end. There is rarely just Good News at HotRamenAudios. But there's always good news. I hope you can take the bad in stride this time as I have and look forward to what's to come.
