microwaves don’t really “produce heat”, they use electromagnetic radiation to essentially speed up the water molecules in the food, making it warmer. running a microwave with nothing in it (assuming it’s functioning properly) shouldn’t really do much of anything due to there being nothing inside to interfere the waves.

i have minor alopecia that comes alone with another autoimmune disorder called scleroderma (specifically a localized morphea called 'En Coup De Sabre') and I've had severe self esteem issues ever since I was a kid.
