The Viewer app uses the same model system as the full game so being rigged up for one means being rigged up for the other - I phrased the question like I did because this is your chance to get Ch. 2 character art in your hands before v1.1 of the full game.
The Ch. 1 options mean updating the existing standing art with their new clothes and layer features.
