Giert the Goblin: Part Two (rough draft)

The mall you worked at shut down. So while now you don’t reek of every perfume on the planet, you’re sorting out life choices; which feels a lot worse than olfactory overload.

“It ain’t the end of the world if you take time, sweetheart.” Giert had brought you some peppermint to settle your nervous stomach.

Looking up from your computer screen, you could see he hadn’t washed up yet from work. He’d come straight from the garage to your kettle. “In this economy?” You scoffed and picked up the tea. “Thank you.”

Giert gave a look around your apartment, his eyes darting back to you then looking off into the distance again. His hand came up, rubbing the back of his head.

“Ya know-” he started off hesitantly, “you could save a lot of money if you didn’t have this place.”

The tea was really good, he knew exactly how you’d like it. “I should just stop paying rent, shouldn’t I?”

“No!” He grumbled, his cheeks going dark. “Not that! I mean…” He huffed, looking more and more frustrated as the moments went on. He sat down at the table across from your, sitting so stiffly you thought the chair would lean against him.

Giert swallowed. “You could move somewhere cheaper.”

He was getting at something, but you couldn’t quite figure it out yet. “I’ve heard refrigerator boxes are cheap this time of year.”

His sneer flexed from angry to pouty. “No! Ugh-” He swiped at his forehead. “What I am trying to say is-now don’t think I’m trying to suggest anything, ‘cause I’m not. But, maybe,-”

The look on Giert’s face fluctuated between his usual grumpy frown and a distressed cry for help. He was nervous, that much was obvious, he wanted to ask something. Maybe, it was a big something. “Giert, what’s up with you?” You set down the mug and closed your laptop. “You’re gonna pop a vessel if you don’t just come out with it.” You were giving him an out, whatever he had to said could be said now, and that would be the end of it.

Giert huffed, taking a deep breath while he wiped at his brow again. “I know we said there wasn’t any sort of order to our relationship. I still feel old fashioned about some things though, and this isn’t exactly my forte.” He exhaled loudly then locked eyes with you. A spark was sent though your eyes to your spine and you sat at attention.

“Until you can find a job, a good job, a job you actually give a shit about, maybe, well-” Giert’s determination began to melt. “Maybe you should, if you’d like, move in with me.”

It was a moment where, at first, it was the final moments of a Mortal Kombat game where the deep voice shouted out ‘finish her!’ You waited, baited breath for that moment Giert went for the kill, but you realized it was you who had the command.

“Are you sure?” You choked a second as you attempted to get your breath back.

Giert nodded. “I know my place is a bit of a man’s pigpen, but it’s bigger than this place. And you’ll be able to brighten up the place with all your pretty things.” He cleared his throat. “And the spare office I could clear out if you had to work from home or anything.”

Tears began to crest your lashes and Giert held his breath as he watched then drip down your cheeks. “I’d love that,” you squeaked out, barely able to contain yourself.

“Whoa! I uh-” Giert wasn’t good with this, but he had been trying his best through your relationship to be better at being comfortable. He got up from his chair. “Happy tears, right?”

You nodded, sniffling as you gazed back at him. “I know how much you value your space and privacy.”

Giert’s lip curled. “I’ll get used to it. Besides, I’d rather have you around than other people. So, that’s gotta say something.”

You wrapped your arms around him, hugging him tight and burying your face into his shoulder.

“Careful now! I’m still wearing my coveralls.” He held onto you, stroking your hair. “Work is good, so don’t feel like you have to do anything right away. You can help with bills once you get a job.”

Giggling, you lifted up your head and kissed him. “It won’t take long, I promise.”

He scoffed. “I said don’t worry. We’ll talk to the building manager tomorrow, and I can get some boxes for packing during work tomorrow.”

A dreamy smile crossed your face as you looked at him. “How long have you been thinking about this?”

Giert turned shy with a pout. “Usually I’d wait till marriage or something,” he grumped. “But I didn’t wanna wait. Ya know?”

You beamed. “I do.”

His blush darkened. “I just want you around, and not just across the hallway.” He looked back around your place again. “I’ll get a chest of drawers or something for my clothes. Then you can have the closet. Only really use it for my leather jacket anyways,” he grumbled. “I’ll have to figure out what to do with the storage in the spare room. Can probably just take it to the garage.” he continued to rattle off things under his breath. He would probably do that until he became comfortable with the whole situation.

“Why don’t you get a shower?” You gave him an out. “Go get clean, relaxed I’ll start cooking something for dinner. How’s that sound?”

“Yeah,” he scratched the back of his neck. “I probably should. You probably notice my smell more now that you’re not clogged with perfume.”

You scoffed at him. “Not what I mean, silly. Your smell isn’t awful. I know you don’t unwind until you get all the grease off you. Once you’re clean and have a full stomach, your mind will quit racing.”

Giert exhaled loudly, dropping his shoulders and lowering his ears. “You’re right.” He walked off towards the front door. “I’ll be right back.” He hesitated before opening the door and looked back at you. “It will be nice to just go to the bathroom and not have to go across the hall. Then I don’t have to get dressed to eat.”

You smirked at him. “Eat naked? You bad boy.”

Giert grinned, winking as he left to go to his place. Your future place. The thought of that brought the biggest smile to your face.

Aside from some roommates in college and in your early twenties, you hadn’t lived with a roommate in a long time. Not that Giert was exactly a roommate, he was your partner. Moving in, thankfully, was easy. After all you just hauled things across the hallway. Moving in bit by bit, you were able to get a feel for things better. Where to put things, how to share space, it was a nice experience.

Meanwhile you were still able to job hunt, submit resumes, and wait by the phone for something, anything to get back to you. A few follow up emails were leading nowhere, and you were starting to watch jewelry making videos online.

“Look, make jewelry if you’d like, but I do think you’re losing your mind a little bit, sweetheart.” Giert graciously turned off your laptop.

You sighed heavily and sat up from laying upside down over the armchair. “I don’t even wear jewelry now that I don’t work at the mall,” you bemoaned as you dragged you hands down your face. “I’m so bored! I’ve always worked. I liked working better than school. That’s why I quit before I graduated college.”

Giert smoothed his hands down his coveralls. “Could always film us in the bedroom and make a few quick bucks.”

You gave him a weary look and he just grinned at you. “Come on, sweetheart, surely there’s something out there that’ll call you back.”

“I’ve tried everything I could possibly do in this town.” You stood up and wandered over to a box and began unpacking stuff from inside.

“Is that all?”

You glared back at him. “What does that mean?”

Giert shrugged, wandering over to the kitchen. “Just jobs you can do? Not even jobs you want? Jobs you want to try or are curious about?”

It wasn’t really something you considered. You wanted to get hired, wasn’t that the point or all the resumes and emails?

“You told me once you wanted to work in a library when you were a kid. I can call my friend Stolik and see if he knows of any possibilities in the area.” Despite it being the evening, Giert turned on the coffee pot.

“Yeah, back when I was a kid and thought ‘The Page Master’ was a real thing,” you huffed. You took a few dusty old books out of the box. You used to be a voracious reader, now you only had a few books remaining of a large collection. “I don’t even think I’m literate anymore.”

Giert wagged one of his green fingers at you. Seeing their was grease under the nail he grabbed a cloth to clean it. “Don’t start that with me. Are you seriously only trying for retail or hospitality jobs?” He polished his nails and inspected them. “Aren’t you sick of retail.”

“Yeah, almost everyone is. But that’s all I really know.”

Giert gave you a stern, dark look that honestly did something to you. You sat in attention on the floor as he walked up to you.

“You’ve done your time with retail. More than. Now think, what’s something you would want to do that isn’t retail.”

Shaking your head, you couldn’t loosen a thought to rattle around. “I don’t know. School always told us to go to college, get a degree. They never really told us what jobs existed in the world.”

“Think,” Giert insisted. “What’s something you’ve seen on TV, walked into, been around you thought ‘must be nice to work here’.”

“Well, library like you said. Seems quiet and fairly agreeable.” You thought for a moment more. “I always thought window displays were really fun. Or even museums. Do museums make money?”

Giert held out his hands. “Window dressing, design, art, why not go for a job in something like that?”

You scrunched up your face. “Design? Me?” You scoffed but thought about it. “I did want to take a design class in college. But my dad said he wouldn’t pay for that.”

“Then why not take a class?” Giert asked excitedly. “They have them at the community college.”

“But I need a job,” you insisted. “I can’t waste time and energy on some classes or degrees that might not add up to anything.”

“For what? Money?”

You held your hands up into the air then dramatically threw them towards your laptop. “Yes of course! What do you think I’m sending all these useless ass emails for!”

Giert reached into his pocket then chucked his wallet at you. “You have me now! Not your cheapskate Dad! Not yourself alone. It’s we and us now. And I’ll support you even if you wanted to turn yourself into ‘The Page Master’ for real.”

Frowning down at his wallet clutched in your hands you offered it back to him. “Don’t throw things at me.”

“Sorry” he muttered. “But you need to stop thinking like your wants out of life aren’t sustainable. That’s your father talking.”

You pouted, nodding your head along in silence.

“Go to school, I’ve paid everything on my own up until this point, I have enough to take care of you as well. Take a graphic design class, a fashion design class, something that sparks inside you, even if you feel it’s the most ridiculous, useless career in the world. If it matters to you it’ll matter to me.” He gave you a great big smile, showing off his shark, pointed teeth. “And when you get a job after that, then you can take care of me if that makes you feel better.”

“I don’t know!” You held your hands around the back of your head. “I don’t know, Giert. That’s polar opposite to how my brain works.”

Giert sat down beside you, putting his hand on your leg. “We can talk more about this. But I think it would be good for you. If it bothers you too badly, then find a part time job and go to school. Or neither. Your call.”

When one thought wouldn’t rattle loose, your head felt like a can full of pennies being shaken by an excited toddler. “Maybe…I could try.” You peered back up at Giert. “One class, just to see if I even like any of it.”

Giert smirked, taking hold of your hand. “One class. I’ll even up it for you. One semester. Pay for the first semester yourself, work part time, and if you wish to continue, I’ll continue paying for your classes. If not, we’ll get you a full time job again.”

It wasn’t hard to make you melt for him, you’d been doing it a lot lately. But right now he was making you feel so proud to have him as your partner. “Okay,” you breathed. “One semester.”

It was the smile that crossed Giert’s face next that made you melt completely. He let out a sigh and a gentle chuckle. “Okay. We’ve got a plan in place.” He looked into my eyes. “How do you feel?”

You thought for a long moment before it dawned on you. “I feel good. I think it’s right.”

Giert squeezed your hand and then stood, guiding you to stand and follow after him. “I’m going to get a shower. But why don’t you get dressed up and we’ll go out to celebrate?”

“You think?” You chuckled.

“Sure. Why not?” He motioned to the closet you had spent most of the day putting your clothes into. “We’ve earned it.”

You listened to the shower as you went through your clothes. But you didn’t really feel like going out.You felt like doing something else. You glanced back towards the bathroom door he’d left open, seeing the steam seep out a bit.

You undressed then placed myself upon the bed, laying in wait for Giert to come out and see me. You quickly placed yourself into a pose when you heard the shower turn off.

“I swear, since that one downstairs neighbor moved out our water has gotten way hotter than-” Giert stopped in his tracks, towel frozen against his hair as he looked at you. “What are you doing? Aren’t you gonna get ready?”

You just smiled at him with my cheek in your hand. “I am ready.”

Giert slowly lowered the towel from his head as his eyes looked you up and down. “Ready huh?” His tongue darted along the edge of his teeth. “Well, I see that now.” He rubbed the back of his head.

Already, the front of the towel around his waist was giving sign to what was running through his mind. “Come here,” you beckoned him with a crook of your fingers. “While you’re still all nice and clean.”

Giert scoffed. “I see how it is.” He put his knee upon the bed then came closer to me. “Did talking about a higher education really get you so hot and bothered?”

A swift motion captured Giert in your arms and you yanked him down to you, kissing him and pressing him close to your body. Giert pushed back against the mattress, catching his breath for a moment. He breathed out, ears twitching as he gazed at your sneaky little smile.

“Alright,” he moaned. “If that’s what you want.” He pulled off the towel and tossed it aside. His smirk returned and he chuckled. “You could have just told me.”

“I figured show was better than tell in this situation.” You said as your hands petted down his body, your aim set upon Giert’s target.

He let out a slow, purposeful breath. “I suppose.” he moaned, squeezing his eyes shut tight as you took hold upon him. His voice shuddered then he bit down upon his lip. “Guess dinner can always wait.”

The motion of your hands was what you were focused on so you could bring him to his absolute peak. He was already quite thick, but there was a rigidity his cock reached when he was at his limit.

Giert jerked, taking himself away from your grasp. He chuckled, pushing back his wet hair so it was slick upon his crown. “Easy now. Easy.” He sat back, gently pushing your legs apart. “You know how this goes.” He then snapped your a harsh look. “And don’t make a pun just now.”

“I would never,” you snickered. “But you did say you wanted to-”

Giert snarled, his nostrils flaring while his ears slicked back slightly. He grumbled as he kissed up your leg, biting your thigh just where it was a good sort of pain. He then nuzzled to your mound, his hands kneading into your inner thighs so you would spread them more. His mouth was warm and wet, slippery upon your folds before he found purchase on your clit.

Fingers clinched into the sheets. All this time and you still didn’t know how he was so good at this part. His mouth, then his fingers, a slow rhythm that followed your breath. Gentle and easy, going faster the more your breath pitched. Your hands moved from the sheets to the top of his head. His wair was still wet, and it felt soft and cool to the touch.

Giert’s eyes raised, then his head, his lips slick as he licked them. “Shit, sweetheart.”

You breathed, releasing your grasp upon his hair so he could crawl up. He wiped his mouth before kissing you, moaning softly as his cock laid against your thigh. You giggled, causing Giert to chuckle along.

“Yeah, that’s what you do to me.” He took hold of his shaft in his hand and guided himself so his tip rubbed against you. He moaned softly while his tip grew wet. You huffed in frustration, hoping he would stop teasing and just get inside already.

“What's that?” he laughed. “Impatient?”

You pouted. “I dunno how you can just tease and tease like that. Doesn’t it drive you crazy too?”

“Of course it does. That’s why I do it.” He lifted up a bit more. He pushed his hips in closer, placing himself at the ready. “But since you can’t wait anymore.” He rutted against you again. “I guess I’ll give in.” He slipped inside, sating a bit of that ache you were feeling.

Giert chomped down on his lip, focusing himself. “Fuck, you feel so good.”

“So do you,” you managed to get out.

He chuckled, rolling his hips slowly. His eyes were focused, steely even as he gazed upon you. You put your hands upon his thighs as he began to move stronger, his body going tense as he centered himself to his task. You could see it mostly in his jaw and the tightness of his neck. You reached up, stroking his cheek and down his neck. Giert wavered slightly, his resolve melting and he gained a pathetically cute look.

“Fuck,” he moaned. He took your legs and lifted them over his shoulders and his pace quickened. You whimpered, gasping for breath as he was driving directly into that spot inside. He snarled, gritting his teeth and harder he went. His slicked hair fell before his face and his jaw unlocked. His mouth hung open as he went faster.

“Giert,” you cried out. You could tell he was getting close, you felt it inside, just as your quickening was taking place.

His expression was always exquisite in those final moments, when that rush of warmth and ecstasy overflowed to the surface. I rocked back, losing breath and sight as I shut my eyes tight.

Giert’s heavy breathing brought me back and I turned my bleary eyes up towards him. My legs slipped from his shoulders, his body slouched forward sightly. A smile cae to his face and I let out a giggle.

“Wow,” Giert breathed, kissing my thigh. “That was amazing.” He rolled over, flopping off me and onto the bed.

“Mhm,” was all I could muster. I moved slightly so his body could curl up against mine. He was so warm and firm, his arms were so strong.

“Good call,” he breathed as he nuzzled to my shoulder, kissing it.

You chuckled, “you think?”

He rubbed his face into you shoulder. “Yes I do!” He sat up a bit, kissing your cheek and jaw. “Always a good call.”

You rolled onto your back to look up at him. “You did get me a little excited, you know? Not exactly the higher education talk, but…more just you being you.”

“I’ll have to start using that more.” He kissed you softly. “Oh man, you wore me out.” He flopped back down, resting his head upon you.

“Want me to order in food?” You asked.

He grunted. “Then we’ll just have to get up.”

Laughing, you stroked his damp hair and tickled behind his ears. “We’ll have to eat at some point. You told me you barely had lunch today.”

Giert’s ears twitched and he tilted his head for you to touch more. “Yeah, maybe I suppose.”

You held him a bit longer, almost falling asleep before his growling belly made you both laugh.

“Let me go find my phone.” You sat up as Giert lifted his head from you. You found it over on the dresser and you opened up the app. “What would you like?”

Giert sighed, gazing at you longingly from the bed. “Anything sounds good right now. Especially you again.”

You gave him a look and giggled as you made an online order. “I swear. You’ve got more stamina than you know what to do with.”

Giert sat up from the bed as you returned, slipping on a shirt. “Well, didn’t always have it.” He smiled at you. “Sort of, found a reason for it.”

You kissed him as you giggled. “I’ll take that as an ‘I love you’.”

“And I do.” Giert cupped your cheek in his hand. “A lot actually.”

You sighed dreamily, kissing him again. “I know. I love you too.”

Giert grabbed you and pinned you back down to the bed. “You’re making this so hard you know?” His stomach growled loudly again and he released you in defeat. “So, what sort of class do you think you’ll take?”

You piled up your hair to tie it all back. “Probably start with graphic design. See how it goes. I haven’t even had chances to see what the community college provides yet” you laughed.

“Stil,” Giert shrugged. “I’m so excited for you. I took classes at that same college, some business, mostly the mechanic stuff.” A soft smile spread across his face, he looked boyish and adorable. “My old teacher there helped me openmy garage. I just…I dunno, I wanna see the same for you.”

“Opening a garage?” You teased.

He grinned. “No, you jerk. Finding your happy place of a career. I know how you hated that perfume place. I hated you lost your job to such a stupid reason, but I was relieved. I wanted to see you try for something more.”

“Why did you never say anything?” I asked.

Giert pouted. “Guess words ain’t my strong suit.”

You kissed him and held him tight in your eyes. “Well thank you for the push. Dunno how this is gonna go for us-”

“But it’ll be good,” he assured. “It’s gonna be great.”

His arms tightened even more around you and you relaxed into his embrace. The scent of his skin was clean from the shower with a hint of sweat. You breathed it in deep, wanting to remember this moment anytime this future plan felt impossible. Giert would make is feel possible, you just had to remind yourself of that.
