A big update to ReVAmped v4.1
Added 2023-06-22 02:57:38 +0000 UTCFirst of all, thanks for playing around with the models and letting me know of the bugs, so that I could fix most of them. There's quite a bunch I changed so I'll break it down. I've updated all the v4.1 models (this includes the base itself, Loona and Verosika) to be more streamlined across the Blender/SFM pipeline and I'll write changelog for every model. Base changes apply to all of them.
ReVAmped v4.1 base:
- In Blender, bones have been renamed with [DEF-] for easier switching between the Rigify and game rig. For SFM, all the bones go through the bip-ify renaming script that automatically adapts them for Valve biped standard. This will make for easier work for me and for better visuals of the rig for you.
- Bone relations have been changed, as well as some positions and rotations - Pelvis is the root bone now, and hip bones have been realigned for better bending. The helper bone scripts have been rewritten accordingly.
- Heel bones have been removed. Who needs them anyway.
- Weightpainting corrected due to bone positions changing.
- QC files have been restructured with the changes above and below.
ReVAmped Loona v4.1:
- In Blender, I ditched the plane eyes in favor of physical ones like on Millie. They won't slide off anymore. Also, I've added an option to resize the pupils and to shrink irises.
- In SFM, the rest of the bones have been renamed to comply with Valve biped. Also, the teeth are now switchable.
- Thanks to our mighty AI overlord, the great and unholy ChatGPT, I was able to write a script for Blender that allowed me to bind ALL clothing (and not only) shapekeys to the body. You don't have to copy paste values anymore - when you pull the sliders on the body, the drivers on clothing shapekeys will automatically adapt their values to the ones on the body.
ReVAmped Verosika v4.1:
- Fixed the bug where the wings were detached from the body.
- Redone weightpaint due to rig changes, improved it in the process, especially on the coat.
- Added an option to resize eyes in Blender.
All the changes are effective immediately so redownload the models from their respective links. Next stop is appendable flexes (ones you can enable/disable in the QC) for SFM that I'll be working on in the next few weeks, as well as the next ReVAmped character.
