really bummed out :(

we just found out that our Patreon content's been getting leaked onto a Patreon aggregate site. it feels especially bad because only five people are subscribed to a tier high enough to be leaking said content, so it's not just a random stranger--it's someone we've actually conversed with, and that really hurts.

it's one thing to pirate from corporations that make a gazillion dollars, but, as we mentioned in a previous post, the whole reason that Mofu started a Patreon is that what Mofu makes from commissions alone doesn't even reach amount to a minimum wage, so such leaks are especially devastating.

and hey if you want to share Patreon-exclusive content with your friends because you think they'll enjoy it, go for it (it's not like we can stop you anyways). but for everything to just be indiscriminately uploaded like that? i can't overstate just how devastating of a blow that is to our motivation. but i guess fwiw from what i understand it's not so much they went out of their way to do this as the importing tool basically just automatically scrapes the content of everyone they're subscribed to. still really sucks, though.

we'll still post this month's reward here on Patreon because it's already done and it'll inevitably be scraped, but moving forward we may have to resort to just posting certain content on a private Discord server which is really unfortunate because that just adds unnecessary work on our end. this isn't meant to prevent sharing--again, if you want to show your friends go for it; but please don't just throw out everything we spend so much time and effort doing onto one of those sites.

we're not interested in interrogating suspects to extract a confession, but if you'd like to come clean and reach out to us we're always open for conversing, and maybe we can figure out what to do about this. otherwise, you guys are welcome to leave your own suggestions.
