At least twice a year the big, burly man known as "Manly Dan" is seen wandering into the deep woods of gravity falls; and isn't seen back for at least two days. Nobody was sure of what he was doing there, with most feeling too put-off by the strangeness of it all to investigate.

One of the only people to spot him returning to town duly noted that he held almost every article of clothing close to his chest and kept his eyes peeled for anybody watching him quickly making his way back home.

It is still unclear to any who have noticed this pattern what exactly he does deep in the dense forest of trees.

Well, at least it was until a certain old coot started blabbing.
