He's doing it again!?
Added 2021-09-19 01:27:32 +0000 UTCThis month I'm blaming it on Ida! It really took 9-10 days from me! Really! All jokes aside, after missing the Wednesday deadline I decided to opt for quietly working rather than making deadlines that seem possible.
And then life / universal powers bending me over and fu*king me raw. With that in mind, I'm finishing up as we speak. However -- my sensibilities tell me that it would just be better to combine this and last month's updates though, which is the point of this post.
On the one hand I'm torn, because I set out to achieve great things and I feel that I did, however those are programmer things -- not player things. I achieved a better, well-crafted game overall. Many of the moving parts are more efficient and gameplay is smoother and more streamlined in many aspects.
I added a ton of framework that will make the future game closer to my initial vision and save me time in the future. I also managed to fix some of my poor learning habits from the past few months. But these changes won't be readily apparent to players, hence the issue.
These things have a effect of making your experience better and more stable. Personally I do not feel that I have added enough content for the player enjoyment aspect of the game. Since this has dragged on so far, I feel really pressed to release something for you all. Hence the conundrum, since time is the one thing I am pressed for at the moment. At this point, literally the only thing needed to make 0.29 better is more dev time.
My goal with each release is to provide players with at least 1-2 new hours of gameplay, and that's on the low end. Ideally I try for 3-5 hours per release. I do this because my main concern is producing content that you all will enjoy. With that in mind I have been trying to pack as much into each update as time permits. This time leaves me feeling conflicted so---
I'll leave it to you-- should I release as is later tonight or would you prefer an EOM (end of month) release , w 0.29 and 0.30 combined. If I were to release today, you will get:
- Grimm Events (NSFW) (+2)
- Training Acceleration (Single, Half or Full) *Already present in the game but added as part of 0.29*
- Daily Events Mastery (This is implemented sans the rewards, but there is no way to access the data -- essentially when you do things like socialize you gain mastery. Gain enough and you will be able to unlock permanent rewards)
- Magic Spells System (This affects day to day actions and events and unlocks when a Pichi event.)
- Gallery Fixed, (+4-5 images).
- New Inventory, New Crafting
- Exploration has been expanded.
- Gifts Enabled
- SFW Events (+3)
- New Renders (+60-100, rough estimate)
- New Videos (+11)
- Stability / Bug Fixes (+3)
- QOL Improvements (+12)
If both versions are combined I will focus on adding:
- More Story Events (10)
- More Chat / Bond Events for each Vixen (+6 *3 /3* per vixen)
- Main Story Additions (focuses on Pichi and Fira). Essentially I will just move this forward as much as possible, with the goal of reaching the end of prologue in the near future. I've already started this process.
