Progress Update, and some changes!

This past update has taught me quite a lot. Namely that the times are changing!

Normally I try to do 2 updates per month, you may notice that sometimes I miss the dates I aim for. The reason for that is simple, and you can read more about it below. (If you want to skip to the progress update, scroll down to the image.)

With that in mind, my development cycle is split into 2 phases. The first is what I call foundation. This is usually building and testing the systems that the game runs on. I usually add a small amount of content with this phase as well. This part of the process takes the longest. On the plus side, soon I won't even need to do this part of the development cycle.

The other development phase is content creation. This is adding to the game's content / story such as more encounters, images or videos. It takes much less time by comparison, depending on how much content I wish to add.

Normally when I miss deadlines it's because I've tried to combine both phases into a single release which can't be helped in some instances. Moving forward, I will aim to do it like this:

15th-18th = Foundation+ small content upgrades.

28th-End Of Month = Heavy Focus Content + Bug Fixes.

This particular update (0.26) came at a weird time, before I made this realization and improved my workflow. Hence I decided to combine Phase 2 for last month with this month's foundation building phase. This is why it's taking a bit longer, namely because I started a foundation phase last month near the end, when I should have been focusing on content! Lesson learned!


Moving forward I expect things to be a bit smoother. 0.26 will be filled with many new elements, some purely visual and others relating to gameplay mechanics or story extension.

The attached are some of the progress related to this development - namely a perk system called Tower Upgrades. By improving the tower by feeding it magicite will also unlock perks helpful to your character.

I expect there to be several tiers to unlock in the future, each with a plethora of options. For now you can look forward to these perks:

-Critical Hit+

-Vitality +

-Fatigue +

-Training benefits and aides.

-New ways to acquire more mana.

And quite a few more.


In addition to this, if you haven't tried 0.25 there is also a new addition to the status menu that allows you more detailed information on each vixen. In 0.25 this isn't fully enabled, but 0.26 brings you one step closer. You can now find out info about each woman's likes and dislikes. This goes hand in hand with the gifts system.

I'm still sorting out the gifting system, which is the last major component of this 0.26 update. When complete you will be able to gift each vixen properly. Whether they like it or not is a different matter..



Also new content extends the story, allowing you to go beyond the current point in the game as well as a host of fixes and quality of life improvements. I just wanted to keep you all updated. At the latest, 0.26 will release on the 18th though Ideally I am working to release it as soon as possible.
