Week 323! (Page 478 Script)

THIS MARKS PAYMENT FOR THE WEEK OF 10/11-10/17.

Second script update for the month, page 478.

Well, despite me saying that these would be questions with less in-depth answers, it turns out the third/fourth question I came up with for Kale and Fox Kale to ask Lucy required a more in-depth explanation/answer. Lucy just conveniently popping up to save Kale and Fox Kale from Hugo has been brought up before, but there was never really an answer given as to how she not only knew it was happening, but how she was even there to know to come in and help them.

And, well, this page and the next are basically going to address Lucy in a lot of ways, bringing up older things we've learned since way back like from her introduction during the field trip to the museum and from her lessons about the Collective Unconsciousness. If you don't recall from like a decade ago, when Lucy and Kale first met, she talked about being a member of the "Human Love" community, as well as dropping the fact that there was basically no information out there about Kale specifically, all on page 231. This aspect of her hasn't been super-brought-up since that museum trip, only getting a reference to it really from the VRC arc, but it's being brought up again here as the motivation for her trying to reach out to Kale in the first place. There's barely any info in the conscious world about him, she happened to 'awaken' in her mind, learned she could connect to others' minds, and thus the first mind she'd naturally want to connect to was the last human's.

Which... well, does kind of make her a bit of a... "fangirl" to put it mildly. I do worry a little bit that I might retread old ground I already did with Gus with this, but I think there's enough of a distinction between the two for that to not really happen. Fox Kale calls Lucy a "stalker" here as a joke, but I think Gus was much more of an actual stalker than Lucy's fangirlism makes her out to be, at least in the long run. Plus, this aspect of Lucy isn't her core personality trait and isn't the point of the answer even, just part of the explanation, so yeah, should be fine.
