Week 322! (Page 477 Script)

THIS MARKS PAYMENT FOR THE WEEK OF 10/4-10/10.

First script update for the month, this is page 477.

So with the whole "motivations" question more or less answered, and us actually starting to approach the end of this arc, it's time to move on to other questions with less in-depth answers. Writing this whole conversation, and honestly all conversations in Furthia High, basically involves me "roleplaying" with myself as all the characters involved in the conversation. So when I write dialogue, I put myself into the character of who's speaking, get into their head and try and think about what they care about, how they would respond, inflections, dialects, etc. In terms of this, then, writing this page was basically getting into Kale's/Fox Kale's head to figure out and remember what they'd be most interested in asking about, figuring out their logic for the structure of the dialogue. Always takes a bit to get right.

For this page Kale asks first about if there's any other members of the organization, since obviously knowing if there's anyone else they don't know about and to thus be wary about is relevant considering they're pretty sure they're getting attacked by them soon. Kind of a longshot question, and Lucy confirms she doesn't know anyone else. One would actually suspect Lucy would know LESS members of the organization than Kale does, but page 479 will more or less hint that she knows everybody that Kale knows about.

The second question is another practical one, which is asking about how these guys keep getting inside Kale's mind, specifically Max and Hugo so far. We had a whole arc where Lucy explained how the whole Collective Unconscious works, and we never actually saw Max or Hugo enter or leave Kale's mind through the red Door. So the explanation comes out with Lucy's deduction that they weren't using that same method to actually in-person-mentally go into Kale's mind, but instead are using some sort of artificial 'projection' to appear there instead. Which honestly makes a LOT more sense to do since it seems to hold zero danger for the person going in, unlike the whole Door and tether thing that could potentially leave someone braindead if they fuck it up enough.
