Weekly Update!

Hello everyone!

This week has been pretty complicated. A lot has been happening in real life, and this might sound a bit like a journal entry, but I recently started a new job. The pay is a little better, and it actually comes with social security and benefits.

For now, I’m still in the paperwork stage—submitting documents, taking tests, and traveling pretty far from home to get everything sorted. In practice, this week I’ll just be working and receiving pay, but the official benefits will only start next month when I begin full-time under the proper contract. Because of that, development progress this week has been limited.

That said, most of the framework for the new game was finished last week, along with a functional beta. I’ve been pacing myself this time to avoid burnout and to make sure every feature I implement is exactly how I want it.

Of course, this new job will have an impact on my schedule. My commute is long—I’ll be leaving home at 6 a.m. and not getting back until around 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday (and that includes time for my studies). While I do get certain days off and some flexibility for school, that time is meant for coursework rather than game development. I really appreciate the company’s support, but I know the first week especially is going to be exhausting.

Still, I’ll do my best to work on the game either early in the morning or late at night (most likely mornings). I just want to be transparent with you all about what’s going on. I know many of you are waiting for the new game and the harem ending for Friend’s Harem Corruption, but things are a bit more complicated right now. This job will help me stabilize my finances, but it’s also very time consuming.

If everything goes well, I’ll try to upload the new game late Sunday. Please keep in mind it will only be a beta. My goal is to always share something tangible so you can see progress directly, rather than just taking my word for it.
