The writers of GOT pushed Ian (Ser Barriston) out after he didn't think his character should die so early in the story. It was an undignified on the part of these writers. I hated that scene because Ser Barriston's arc had so much potential. Just consider his past achievements and what made his reputation what it was. If he had to die, it should have been defending Dany.

Why, I would really like for you to explain it to me. Because I think its great. In my opionion seasons 1-6 are awsome. Season 7 is a notibale let down and season 8 is a defamation to the whole story (of course a bunch of good scenes).

2025-09-26 21:48:36 +0000 UTCNot to be a party pooper, but this was the first episode that marked the declining quality for the writing of this show. A bunch of privileged spoiled brats pick up some steel and are able to kill a load of Unsullied in a hallway perfectly suited to the strategy of spearmen. This was forcible written to make the Sons of the Harpy seem capable and threatening when they aren't.

Tyrion being taken "to the queen" must assume queen Cersei (and a beheading), not queen Dany. 7:22 I don't think Ser Meryn Trant will be able to force Lord Tyrell to go to Bravos, so the "nice knowing you" might be for the knight, not the lord. 9:25 even in the real world many people, me included, live in their own personal reality. Cersei thinks of Margaery as a whore, and from what we have seen and heard people speak, we can follow how she gets to that conviction. However, we have seen some of Cersei's ideas and plans to fail awfully before, because she fails to see beyond the boundaries of her world view. She does not understand that sending the very man who feeds all the Lannister realms away from the court... may just be in that man's best interest. She seems to be convinced an inquisitional court must be finding that benefactor of the poor guilty of adultery (even when there is none). 19:18 And a bastard by some tavern sl*t. 19:20 But that wasn't Ned Stark's way. 19:50 her father is the Lord's chosen King and her father's blood runs through her veins. (remember, in earlier series, Melisandre was obsessed with "King's blood".) 25:39 You know nothing, Jon Snow. I find that really sneaky by the show runners. Safe to say, it is also somewhat misleading. 30:08 Sansa is in the crypts of Winterfell and has just lit a candle in the hand of the statue of Lyanna Stark. Ouch. 30:32 Littlefinger talks of the Great Tourney at Harrenhall. 31:14 "and all the smiles died" 31:27 "in Lyanna's lap" ... So we are getting some Rhaegar & Lyanna. Jojen Reed tells the story called "The story of the Knight of the Laughing Tree" in the book to Bran on their way North. But there the story ends. 31:45 "and ra*ed her". Then Littlefinger looks at Sansa's face. Chills. Dread. 47:24 "another Rhaegar story" ... yes, they let the cat out of the bag. But why just now? I feel after the show has missed so many opportunities for that, why now?
