This episode is what makes me love Ymir's character more than many others. Her story is so interesting and the music that plays on that one scene when she's in the paths is heavenly

2025-10-22 13:56:55 +0000 UTCI think you misread what Bertholdt meant when responding to Eren. Or at least, I personally interpreted it differently. Eren said "What were you thinking?" When Bertholdt initially replied with "I thought..." I believe he was just referencing the wording that Eren used... but then he hesitated and restructured what he was trying to say, and rephrased it as "I felt sorry for you." So if you think of it more like... "What was it that I was thinking? (pondering/remembering)" "I was thinking... that I felt sorry for you." ← This is how I interpreted what he meant. Personally, I don't think he meant, "I thought I felt sorry for you," as in he *believed* that he felt sorry for Eren, but didn't in actuality.
