Live-streaming news:
Patreon have also recently released their own streaming capability. It is still in the early stages, and appears to be a little buggy still, but looks promising. For those of you that have been round since the very beginning you will remember we have gone through quite the journey with streaming. We started with YouTube but ran into difficulties with copyright and streams regularly being terminated (despite me later winning reviews to get the strikes removed as YT deemed the content as fair use). We then moved to Twitch but had the difficulty that there was no way to lock down the streams so random people couldn’t join. We couldn’t make the streams Twitch sub only as that would mean people double paying for a Twitch Sub and a Patreon Sub so that was never an option. This new option with Patreon looks promising as it will mean a space for us to have Patreon exclusive streams - this is something that I am going to test when I get back in terms of stability of the platform and how best to utilise it whilst also making sure I can put out consistent pre-recorded content.

Whenever you're up for doing another music video reaction, I recommend Highway Tune by Greta Van Fleet—or really, any of their songs. They're up-and-coming, but already pretty legendary! Also, I'm loving the AOT and GOT content. I look forward to your videos every week :) As a psych major, I really enjoy hearing your character analyses—I'm always learning something new.

2025-08-26 23:47:00 +0000 UTCAppreciate the hard work! Looking forward to this week's content. I won't overhype it too much but you're in for a fucking ride with Game of Thrones Season 4. Some of the episodes were so good that they were later aired in theaters as back-to-back features, partly as marketing for Season 5 (and imo, because they were just that good).

2025-08-25 14:44:32 +0000 UTCWe did trial this before but people were put off by using another platform, and we couldn’t get streaming well with PIP streams, it seemed to have a face cam and a share screen cam but we struggled to combine them into one camera. OBS doesn’t seem easily supported unless you know another way round that. Plus I’m personally not a fan of generally how discord is, it always seems a mess and really hard to moderate.

2025-08-24 19:30:10 +0000 UTCIf the live streaming service on here still isn't up to par I would also recommend looking into discord for live streaming to patreon subs as it allows you to give members different roles only allowing members with certain roles like a "patreon sub role" for example, to join live streams.
