2025-06-22 07:06:31 +0000 UTCI mean I think it was a given that the severity of crime that deserves death in kira's eyes was always pretty low, from the start he said he'd get rid of the worst of the worst and make his way down the list. He also stated that the world would be full of good and "hard-working" individuals, so I feel it's not as though the scope is broadening, it's always been there, it's just those who are of priority.

Meaning he’s not necessarily opposed to broadening the scope of who gets punished, he’s just gradually getting the public onboard with his actions before making further changes to society. Mikami doesn’t see the gray in the wider politics of the Kira cause, just the direct use of their justice.
