Its funny you mislabeled the lannisters for the Lancasters. Because that is exactly if im not mistaken who GRR Martin envisioned the Lannisters to be from the war of the roses when writing these books :). Cheers from Sweden btw love your reactions so i had to join your patreon.

2025-08-13 20:28:40 +0000 UTCI'm sure you've figured it out or it's been said, but the reason the whole "Stab in the back" / Kingslayer thing is so big towards Jaime is because he's in the Kingsguard, it's literally his job to defend the King, he gave up his lands and titles and the Kingsguard is a position for life. Even though the Mad King was a fanatical tyrant, he still forsook his oath and killed his king.

Like others have said, there's so much to keep track of and binging this show is the best way to watch it while keeping track of all the branching story lines and subplots. It's really enjoyable and so fun watching you react to this, hearing your thoughts and theories. Kind of feels like watching it again for the first time!

But he was indeed talking about Catelyn. And the person who beat him the duel he mentions was Ned Stark's older brother. Hence why he says "she ended up with his brother instead." Also lmao at "Lancasters"
