Game of Thrones Season 1 Episode 4 REACTION

Game of Thrones Season 1 Episode 4 REACTION

One of your comments reminds me of some of my natural horsemanship training. We just say, you make the right thing easy and the wrong thing difficult.

YEAH i laughed when he said that too... i was like "Stu...oh my sweet summer child" lmaoo poor man Stu tho... we voted for him to go through the deepest territory of HBO.... Game of thrones traumatized me enough so anything i watch, arcane the last of us... cannot shock me anymore.. the difference with the last of us is that it didn't shock me but it made me cry (i can't cry in general and i have to cry from time to time) But GOT is the most shocking series i have ever watched

Don't worry about looking at the map of Westeros, it's not a spoiler at all and in fact it's encouraged to know the geography of the world while watching the show. You're correct that Westeros is a country (more like a continent), and that King's Landing, Winterfell, etc. are places within it, referred to as The Seven Kingdoms. There are also other (separate) countries/continents beyond Westeros. Daenerys and the Khalasar are currently in a different country/continent (as I'm sure you've already figured out). As for what the broader, overall world is called... it doesn't actually have an official name... but it's nicknamed by the fandom as Planetos.

I belly laughed when Stu said GoT must not be too shocking because he's coming off the back of Arcane and TLOU... Our boy is in for the ride of his life, isn't he?

Please don’t tell him things he isn’t supposed to know yet guys, unless he asks 😭 imagine you were at season 1 episode 4 only

Also not sure if you recall from episode 3, but the King mentions his first kill being "a Tarly boy" whilst having that back and forth with Jamie Lanister and Ser Barristan (the old Knight) in his chambers. He mentions how he caves his chest plate in with a war-hammer. That "Tarly boy" being a family member of Sam's. Probably an uncle.

"Cripples, Bastards and Broken things" is also the name of the episode if I recall correctly. Always cool when the title of an episode is revealed in that way, by a great character, delivered so beautifully. Very satisfying.

[Not a spoiler for the show, but might be a spoiler for the books] One thing I learned about Viserys Targaryen (the white-haired brother) years after I finished the show was how he and his sister got to the point where the show starts. After their father (the "mad king") was killed/usurped, he and his sister were all each other had left of their family, and had to stay in hiding. He had to essentially raise and look after his sister on his own from her infancy until the show begins, and apparently he went through some pretty tough times keeping them both hidden, fed and safe. She's his only family, all he has left of his home, and he's always had this dominance over her as the older sibling that she was fully dependant on. So as well as his frustration with wanting to reclaim the throne (which his family have held for centuries, that's why he sees it as his birthright and legacy), I think he's also feeling insecure about losing his sister. She's never sidelined him like this before, never belonged with anyone else but him before, and now she's found a new tribe that isn't him. I think he's anxious that he's gambled the only thing he actually had and may end up with nothing at all. He still thinks she's the little girl who should be doing everything he tells her to, not a grown woman with her own autonomy now. As for the inappropriate touching, apparently the Targaryen family historically have often married brother to sister (maybe to keep the bloodline pure?), so that might be why he does it so casually. I don't know if that's why, just guessing. She clearly doesn't seem to appreciate it, though.

The game is starting to unfold and is very interesting; it will only get even better.

I’m impressed that Harry Lloyd can play someone as charismatic as Viktor and someone as uncharismatic as Viserys Targaryen, it really is a talent 😂

18:17 Baader-Meinhof phenomenon strikes hard 😂 Had the same thing happen the last couple of weeks with a company I’d never heard of before and now I see them everywhere! The mind’s ability to drown out unnecessary info is crazy 😅
