2025-06-09 15:40:02 +0000 UTCThese episodes are probably my favourite part of the show. If you think it through, Light probably already knew that Misa wouldn't remember L's name. Which comes in handy because he wants Misa to be his tool again. That's why he was so smart to switch the notebooks before losing his memory. With that, he made sure that his plan was followed through by Rem (because she wanted to make sure Misa was safe and cleared. Ryuk didn't care about that) but also that Misa was able to make the eye-deal a second time with Ryuk (because again Ryuk didn't care about Misa and her lifetime left and Rem might have cared and wouldn't allow Misa to do it a second time).

They were bigger or more open when he didn't know he was kira and seemed more innocent :) I found it intresting that the artist put thought into that as well. And I was wondering why L did not panic when he saw the shinigamis tbh

He seems completely stumped, as if he knows there's nothing he can do... but he's still smart enough to know something isn't adding up/that something is very wrong. When the others insisted he release Light, it seems like he didn't want to... but he probably knew he had no choice this time around. I may be reading too much into it but after he releases Light, he just looks scared and confused, and remains silent for the rest of the episode. I hope the poor guy is going to be okay.

2025-06-05 20:18:26 +0000 UTCJust my thought on your last reaction when Light said: “ chances are I will want to help catch Kira myself, that’s just the way I am” I could be wrong but i will share my thoughts on that. He said “that’s the way i am (after LOSING my meories”) Light without memories will want to catch criminals. Because he has sense of Justice. But with the memories, (and the power) he was a twisted sense of Justice thus making him a serial killer. And by making the statement of “that’s the way i am” it also shows the dynamic between Light and L even if they are enemies. L and Light are two different sides of the same coin. Another reason for him to work with L, to be seen as worthy (i believe) these are the two reasons without his memories 1) Admiring L and wants to learn from the best (L) 2) its just the way i am- “i hate criminals so Kira is a criminal in my perspective so i will help catch him (Kira)” because he has a strong sense of justice (without his memories) With his memories his sense of justice is twisted and he is ruthless. The common thing that L and Light have, is that they think the same, they’re both smart and super intelligent so I call them two sides of the same coin. I think that’s why he would want to help catch Kira. The only major or big difference between L and Light is that L is not bloodthirsty like Light. (I wish i could explain it better, add more, because my real thoughts are in greek and i can’t express everything in English) Light looked up to his father example before he got the notebook, his father who is a symbol of justice, has a strong sense of justice… so without his memories, he would want to follow his father’s example. I believe this is yet another reason why he wants to help L. To be seen as worthy to his father and L. Also, even before got the Death Note, Light was already studying and trying to get into university to become an investigator. That was his motive i believe

Very happy to get so much Death Note, but I’m also glad you’re taking breaks to feed your children despite how hooked on the show you get! 😂
