I met Knox, Viktus, and some of his team at his show in Birmingham last November. He was super positive, friendly, and really genuine. I managed to take a few photos and videos, that I sent to his insta, and bought some merch. At the time, Ren was asking for stories to give him hope, after his health took a downturn. I asked Knox if he'd give a demo tape, lyrics, and a letter from my sister to him, and he was kind enough to do so. My sister was in hospital in December 2023, and she'd worked hard to recover her health that year. Knox had also been through a lot, not just the loss of his cousin and grandfather, but his mum was battling cancer, and his wife had also had a health scare. It just reminds you that ill health and loss, is something that can and will affect us all, personally, experientially or indirectly. We all have to stand by each other in moments of darkness and despair, to give each other hope, strength and support to pull through. I love the community that's sprung up around Ren, because all the people who support him, his music, and his friends are a testament to that.
