DTD Ending Too Fast:

I've received a comment on DeviantArt mentioning that the ending felt "a bit too fast," and I wanted to share some thoughts with you all here on Patreon.

Originally, the ending was supposed to be much slower, but there were a lot of repeating elements and dialogue, not exact repeats, but similar enough that they didn’t add much to the story. It felt like they were just there to increase the number of pictures, which isn’t the point for me. I prefer fewer renders that tell a broader story, rather than more renders that just rehash the same ideas—you get what I mean.

Since the story is co-written by me and someone else, there were a few elements that contradicted each other. So instead of going with the “random bullshit go” route, I chose a cleaner path with a bit more focused dialogue. We’re still planning to do a kind of “Director’s Cut” of the ending in the near future, with more exposition on the characters and their relationships, since the current ending didn’t really build on that much—if at all.
