Proof of Life #263: The return of the fiery redhead!

I hope you are doing well, better than last week, but not quite like next week. Anyway, here’s today’s PoL, a bit later than usual because I literally forgot today was PoL day and I had to scramble to find a good screenshot.
The past week has certainly been a productive one. Last time, I was telling you how I was in the middle of developing the first scene of Lily’s quest after being stuck trying to figure out how to bypass RPGMaker’s limitations. Well, now, I’ve about finished the second scene of the quest, which means 2 out of 4 scenes are done (one last scene + the extra scene). I’m not quite halfway through though, because I haven’t tested anything yet (still waiting on some animations for the 1st scene), and the story section afterwards will be a bit longer than what I’ve done so far, without being too long either.
Also, I’ve got some more freeroams to add (I was thinking 4, so 1 each for Rose and Cyanna, and 2 for Lily), maybe progressing 1-2 mini-stories if I have the time, otherwise it’ll be done next update, and adding one Triple Trident opponent. So there’s still quite a lot to do.
Still, this quest will remain relatively short, because I’m trying to get more to the point, without sacrificing the story either. The main issue was how to approach this quest after the beach update that saw Lily get quite a lot of action despite having just lost her virginity during her previous quest. Well, I think I’ve found a way to make it work quite well while still making relative sense.
Also, Anna-Lisa (the girl with the schoolgirl outfit and pigtails in the last Lily quest) will return with a bang in this update. Why not develop her character further along with Lily’s after all? Also, some Merri (the shy girl with glasses), although she isn’t central to this quest.

2025-03-11 15:53:47 +0000 UTCWell, the only two solutions I can think of would be to either load one of the saves provided where Lily's 6th quest has been done yet, and then progress the main storyline from there, or try a save editor (not too knowledgeable about these, sorry), and turn off "switch 6439", which is the one that determines whether Lily's content shows up or not. If you do that, I'd recomment switching it back on before the end of the beach segment or the next Lily quest might not trigger properly (if you're still interested in doing her content somewhere down the line). Hope that helped!

2025-03-11 05:41:52 +0000 UTCI think there is a page or a program that allows you to edit saves, but I don't know if at that technical level. What you can do is ask in RPG Maker forums or in F95 to see if there is a solution. If not the heaviest option is to replay the whole game and skip the parts you want, it is a somewhat heavy option especially for the game content (I did a test and it took me 22 hours to get from the prologue to the end of the current content) but you can use MTool to speed up the game and reduce the time considerably.

I am not much of a fan of her partner/dynamic, and was wondering if there was a way to edit the save to undo some of her quests to avoid seeing some of her content in the future (as in like at the beach house)? Thanks!

2025-03-11 03:50:58 +0000 UTCThanks for that hahaha, it's not that I'm against BDSM either, I just don't like it when something a bit more extreme happens, in HC2 for example I remember that the white haired elf had some scenes I liked, but others I just couldn't (it was also because I felt a bit sorry for her since she was basically reduced to almost a pet, even though that's part of the point of BDSM hahaha), but I don't know, I got so fond of Lily that I even feel a bit sorry to see her in stronger BDSM situations hahaha.

Which is why I've put more thoughts into how I would make it work for Lily’s new quest after all that happened at the beach.^^ Switching to Lily’s 7th quest being a prerequisite for her beach content wouldn’t work for several reason: 1)I’d have to go back and change all the triggers for her content and then retest everything to make sure I haven’t broken something in the process. 2)Her 7th quest would be triggered right after her 6th one. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a huge issue, but I like to keep some space between the side-quests 3)I’ve already written a good deal of the new quest on the premise that the beach update already happened, so I’m not going to go back and rewrite everything. --Vague spoilers on the new quest’s rough idea below----- The idea for the 7th quest isn’t about Lily getting used to doing it with Nezar regularly (we’re skipping over that because of the beach update, but also because technically she’s already given her consent in update 6 as part of the deal she made with Nezar so it doesn’t seem like such a huge deal), but rather how she perceives the act and how far she’s willing to go. So at the beach, s*x was just her fulfilling her own part of the deal, but quest 7 is all about “what if it goes beyond that”? --End of spoilers--------------------------------------------------- As for the side content, the idea would be to have: 2 more quest for Lily (this one included), 2 more for Haylen, and a conclusion for each in the NTR ending, so it would be slightly more than just 2 quests each. It’s just 2 quests until we reach the endings and then some more. At least that’s the plan right now. I hope that answered your questions and soothed your worries a little bit^^

2025-03-11 01:00:13 +0000 UTCIt's funny with Lily because before I wasn't very interested in her quest because of the 4 main characters I liked her design the least, but with the passing of the updates focused on her I got fond of her. The only thing I still don't like about her route is that it's BDSM type and it's not something I like very much. But I think I'm going to support it just for her.

2025-03-10 23:48:24 +0000 UTCLily getting a bunch of freeroams during this vacation "arc" has actually been something i've been meaning to ask you about ever since you started working on it back in October, cause seeing how active Lily is with Nezar despite only losing her virginity recently was something that...well i wouldn't say that it was bothering me, i just thought that there should've been a quest for Lily in between the 2 events so that it would've felt a bit more "natural" seeing them together so often, but for some reason i kept delaying asking you about it over and over again, thinking that Lily's next Update is so far into the future that i've got plenty of time to ask, and then after you were done with the beach Updates, you immediately started firing away all that stuff about Updates getting shorter, 3 scenes/Update from now, Lily's only getting 2 more quests before the endings etc. etc., and learning all that made me wanna...not...ask it, i guess ? cause it wouldn't really make that much sense anymore that way, but basically what i was gonna ask is that, obviously you made Lily's quest where she loses her virginity the pre-requisite for the beach Update, meaning that people need to finish THAT quest in order for them to be able to see the stuff that happens to Lily at the beach, but what if you were to make this upcoming quest the pre-requisite instead, cause for people who play the game Update by Update like me nothing would change at all really, it would just simply put the stuff that is going to happen to Lily in Update19 before the events at the beach, canonically speaking. Just a thought, but as i said, knowing that Lily's only gonna get 2 more Updates worth of content, or approximately 5 more scenes if we wanna get technical (which is...not a small thorn in my side if i'm being totally honest), then it wouldn't really make sense to have only 1 quest for Lily after the events at the beach, where she still acts like she hates Nezar at the end.
