Trying not to give spoilers, but, to me, Ray snapped because it seemed like Mew was not going to do anything and he couldn't stand seeing that for the person he loved. As for dragging in the rest. You are the only reactor who pointed out how toxic everyone was to Ray about his singleness and Cheum's pushy know it all attitude would have angered me too. To me the only really bad thing was him dealing that way with Sand in the parking lot, but by then I think Ray was so drunk, high, and upset that he hated everyone, including himself. And, of course, driving drunk is inexcusable but by that point he didn't have a rational thought in his head.
