They ended up sacrificing themselves to protect someone. I think the city lord was just an annoyance that kept showing up and a convenient target to vent her emotion on.

Your reaction to it seems correct. Yes my favorite scene! Xiao Se using that staff is my favorite. He looks so powerful with that😌 He is telling the truth when he says that he doesn’t have any martial arts. Like if we compare this with MDZS, he is like Jiang Cheng when he lost his golden core. BOMI YU Another meaning of the five hundred taels of silver that Xiao Se and his master discussed while playing chess refers to the throne

He played Xiao hua Vivi Peri The thing about naming himself premature death would have been hilarious if it were that. XD If it helps, the Chinese characters used in XiaoSe's name are first tone Xiao and fourth tone Se, put together it means something along the lines of bleak, desolate or chilly. BOMI YU In the early , Xiao Se was like this because he didn’t integrate himself into this group of people because of some things. He was like an outsider watching things happen calmly. Later, after his friendship with everyone, he changed and he became concerned about these things friends. BOMI YU Ten Thousand Trees Flying Flowers is a martial skill of Tang Lian, Tang Lian is unable to use it now, Wuxin transmits his own internal force to Tang Lian to use this skill to temporarily expel the white-haired fairy Angel Wuxin is awesome😅 you will see why in the later episodes Angel 4mo As mentioned by others, Xiao Se has reasons why he is like in the sidelines rather than fighting Beth Rasmussen How does Tang Lian not clank when he walks?
