Lilith sprawled comfortably across what was left of the landscape, her miles tall frame stretching lazily over half the continent. Her discarded high heels — still faintly steaming — were tipped over in the distance, massive landmarks in their own right.

Wiggling her bare toes in the humid air, she watched with idle satisfaction as mountain ranges collapsed into dust between them. Every subtle flex sent waves of thick, foot-warmed air across the planet’s battered surface, the atmosphere practically soaked with the rich, potent scent of a dragoness who had spent a long day working in way-too-tight sandals.

Her tail swayed behind her, gouging slow, lazy scars through the landscape, while her cyan-lit eyes narrowed slightly in thought.

“You know,” she said casually, her voice rumbling across the broken landscape like a passing storm, “I really should start charging rent for this.”

She smirked, flexing her toes again for emphasis, causing a nearby mountain to slide apart with a dull rumble.

“After all, I’m giving these civilizations a hell of a foot massage. Least they could do is be grateful before they turn into toe lint.”

Laughing quietly to herself, Lilith stretched out a little further, dragging her heels deeper into the crumbling world beneath her, already thinking about what planet she’d sit on next.
