October 2022 Bronze Poll

Alright, after a fair bit of tallying, browsing back through images, hemming and hawing, I’ve got the selection for this month’s poll.  I really feel like I should’ve cut the number of options in the poll down, but, well… I didn’t.  If you just want to start voting, open the attachment below to see the images that go along with the poll options, and then select your favorite on the poll.  Silver patrons can submit their second vote here.  The polls will close on October 12th, 2022 at noon Eastern.  If you’d like to hear my personal thoughts on each option and what I was thinking with the selection process, read below.

A. This pic was easily the most nominated, so it has to be here.  It’s a daunting challenge, but I really like the composition, the layout, and it checked the box for including a lot of TK characters.  If it wins and if things go quickly with inking/coloring, I could probably squeeze a couple extra characters into the upper left corner (Laura/Kat/Brutus/Carver/characters that didn't get into the poll at all anywhere else).

B. What option A is for TK, option B is for Camp Pines.  Not as many characters, but the perspective and BG are going to be a lot more challenging.

C. A requisite tentacle pic, and something for people who like a lot of mess, closeups, internals, etc.  It’s a second Seff and Ash pic, but I thought the character repeat was warranted for the difference in lewdness levels and the inclusion of tentacles.

D. This thumbnail is the first of the dark horses.  I wanted to balance out 4 TK pics with 4 Camp Pines pics, and do something that didn’t involve Seff and her friends.  This Cassia pic has a ton of mood and atmosphere, and differs from a lot of the other options here by being more of a tasteful pinup.

E. A second dark horse.  A Krystal sketch that I did about 4 years ago was nominated, and looking back at it I actually liked it a fair bit - but the level of polish I was putting on sketches then, the lack of background would make it a tough sell in this poll.  This thumbnail from a month or two ago was fairly popular when posted to my FA scraps, so it’s here for its second chance instead.

F. This one had several nominations this month, and more work on it has been requested several times in previous batches of requests.  It checks Flora off on the list of TK characters to include, along with the rare Ivy and Trace appearances.  However, this sketch is kinda like that first Natani and Keith in the gym sketch, in that I don’t think it came out very good and probably will need to be scrapped and redone with a better pose/perspective.  Maybe this is its opportunity for that.

G. For paw enthusiasts everywhere, I think.  This couple hasn’t gotten a ton of art attention (being non-canon side characters and all) but I always thought this pic had a lot of potential with shading, with the firelight beside them.  I was doing weird, experimental things when I drew Knot Interested, but the way the shading/highlight worked on Raine’s white fur could make for something similar and more refined here.

H. While I’m putting big pics like A and B on the table, I thought I should put this one out there, too.  Also I just noticed that I didn’t color the sheets/pillows on the beds, but that’s about how rough this picture was on me.  This is another large, multi-character pic that probably won't get many options for getting finished so it should get while the gettin's good.

I. I may have time to take this from thumbnail to sketch while this poll is running, but if I want to keep things moving along this month I had to get the polls started now before this one was fully ready.  Another pic with a ton of atmosphere and stuff, painting all those trees and delivering on the potential here will be hard.

J. The third dark horse.  Perhaps the true dark horse.  Poor Mika didn’t get a lot of support in the poll that this thumbnail was drawn for, and it would’ve been really easy to exclude her from this poll - but maybe, just maybe, people are hungry enough for Lancer r34 that it’ll be her time to shine.
