To do that, they need to buy an X2 and use it to open a gate. However, since Joe's Impmon X is not counted as a Digimon from the device he is purchasing, he has to hatch an egg from the device and use that Digimon to open gates and unlock areas. Joe accepts the challenge, purchasing the Grey and Gold X2.
